The aim of the article is to present the most important tasks and possibilities of the Prison Service in supporting the process of social readaptation of inmates. They are implemented by the formation within the penitentiary system or in cooperation with other institutions, organizations and associa-tions.

Tekst prezentuje krótki przegląd działalności polskiego Ministerstwa Edukacji Narodowej w ciągu ostatnich dwunastu lat. Szczególna uwaga poświęcona zostaje działaniom, które są rezultatem planowanych i już wprowadzonych reform w polskich szkołach w celu poprawy ich zdolności do współzawodnictwa z innymi szkołami, a także wykonania praktycznych kroków w kierunku nauczania umiejętności praktycznych, a nie prostego przekazywania wiedzy teoretycznej z zakresu nowych technologii, wykorzystania narzędzi ICT jako pomocy dydaktycznych, dostępu do Internetu, bezpieczeństwa w sieci elektronicznych podręczników oraz projektów współpracy międzynarodowej, takich jak eTweening. Artykuł może stać się punktem odniesienia dla porównania z działaniami podejmowanymi w tym zakresie przez rządy innych krajów. Liczby przytoczone w artykule dają tylko ogólne pojęcie o tym, jak wiele wyzwań staje przed rządzącymi, systemem finansowania edukacji oraz Ministerstwem Edukacji Narodowej. Szkoła nie ma obowiązku zachęcać uczniów do wykorzystywania Internetu i multimediów, ale powinna nauczać, jak ich świadomie i bezpiecznie używać, aby uczniowie rozwinęli się jako osoby oraz zwiększyli swoje kwalifikacje i kompetencje. ; The text presents a short overview of activities of the Polish Ministry of National Education over the last dozen years or so, with a particular focus on the activities that are the results of planned or already implemented reforms in Polish school in terms of both improving its competitiveness and taking practical steps aimed at teaching practical skills, and not just providing the theoretical knowledge on such topics as new technologies, usage of ICT tools as didactic aids, Internet accessibility, cyber-safety, e-textbooks, or international cooperation projects (for instance eTwinning). The article can function as the base for comparison with the actions of other countries' governments from our region in this field. The numbers given in this text are to give only the general idea of how many more challenges there are for the governing authorities, education financing system, and the Ministry of National Education. The school does not have to encourage students to use the Internet or multimedia, but it should teach how to use them in a safe and conscious way in order to develop one's self, qualifications, and competences.

Wskazują na to, że wielokulturowość należałoby traktować jako formę reakcji na zróżnicowanie kulturowe. Jednocześnie w międzykulturowości widzą możliwości integracyjne i oczekiwaną formę interakcji z innością. Swoje rozważania kończą krótką prezentacją idei pedagogiki międzykulturowej, jako subdyscypliny naukowej. Kluczowe słowa: wielokulturowość, międzykulturowość, edukacja, pedagogika międzykulturowa. ; The authors of the article make an attempt to study definitions of terms that have been around at least a few dozen years, operating in the social sciences. They suggest that multiculturalism should be treated as a form of reaction to cultural diversity. At the same time in intercultural ideas they see integration capabilities and expected form of interaction with otherness. Aim: The aim of the study was to learn about the way in which early childhood developmental support is organised in the local environment. Material and methods: The research was conducted in two county towns among the employees of institutions organising and conducting early childhood developmental support. Results: Different systems of organising early childhood developmental support have been developed in the evaluated towns. In Oswiecim, all the activities (from providing expert opinions, through information campaigns and classes for children, to workshops for parents) are carried out by the Psychological and Pedagogical Counselling Centre. The early support in Cieszyn has developed as a grassroots system (in 2016 two private kindergartens will join the early support offer) and the Psychological and Pedagogical Counselling Centre provides opinions on the need for early developmental support. Conclusions: In Europe in recent years, there has been a significant development in the support strategy targeting both young children requiring early support and their families. Despite the implementation of a government pilot programme in Poland ten years ago, systemic solutions are still lacking. Other European countries implement early intervention to support the development of children diagnosed with developmental disorders or retardation. In the Polish system, however, the child's support is uncoordinated (the tasks are divided between three different ministries: health, education, and social welfare ministry) and often based on the child's disability certificate. Some legislative changes should be introduced to enable establishing local centres of early support/intervention. It is also necessary to organise terminology so that children who show developmental disorders could receive immediate support, without waiting for the certification of their disability.

Aim. Aim of the paper: to introduce the subject of e-prescription in Poland. E-prescription is a digital version of the previously used standard paper prescription. In Poland,professional arrangements were made, thanks to which it became possible to promotee-prescriptions in pharmacies and doctors' surgeries throughout the country.Methods. The authors analyse how e-prescription is introduced in Poland. We appliedcomparative analysis (of eprescining in the European Union countries) , literature review(what are legal and technical constraints) and case study (how it was introduced in Poland).We showed the implementation of the e-Health (P1) system in Poland and describedthe use of the free application of the Ministry of Health. We presented preparations for theimplementation of digital health services by the Center for Health Information Systems(CSIOZ).Results and conclusion. For years in Poland, handwritten prescriptions used to be thepreferred method of communication for doctors when making decisions about therapywith medications and for pharmacists to distribute them. Nonetheless, over the last decade,interest in the subject of e-prescription, alongside other e-health solutions for processinghealth-related data, has increased. E-prescription is fi lled on the basis of a four-digit code,which we receive by text message sent to a given phone number or by email to an indicatedaddress. Alternatively, there is a possibility to obtain an information printout, dependingon the confi guration of our Patient Account. An important change introduced is that wedo not have to physically carry the printed prescription with us anymore. E-prescriptionprovides benefi ts for doctors, patients and pharmacists, such as: convenience, time saving,greater safety of the therapy, less risk of error, less bureaucracy. The main objectives of thee-prescribing system involve facilitation of the process of prescriptions delivery, reductionof errors, time optimisation for doctors and pharmacists and eliminating the problem ofillegible and fake prescriptions, which have so far been a common occurrence.Cognitive value. This article shows the process of introducing E-prescription in Poland.

Introduction. E-learning has been known and used in many countries for a long time.It is becoming more and more popular. It is a way of teaching remotely, using the latestinformation technology. It can be used in any age group, starting with pre-school teaching.In the era of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, remote learning has been mandatory due to theneed to continue the teaching process whilst at the same time reducing the risk of spreading the virus. This has revealed many advantages, but also the disadvantages of this type of teaching.Aim & methods. The aim of the work is to change the advantages and disadvantagesof remote teaching as one of the modern forms of education. The work attempts to showthe problems related to the risks and diffi culties associated with distance learning and theadvantages of the development of information technology. We reviewed recent literatureon e- learning in Poland. We supplemented it with our own observations.Results & Conclusions. Reviewed empirical studies from Poland suggest that the mainadvantages of distance learning are professional development of teachers, intergenerational experience exchange, time saving, the possibility of learning at a pace adapted tothe student, access to a large quantity of teaching materials as well as the development andexpansion of IT infrastructure. The main disadvantages are lack of peer interactions, theneed to spend a lot of time in front of the computer, lack of physical activity, diffi culties inindependent assimilation of new material, lack of direct contact with the teacher, lack ofcomputer equipment and inadequate housing conditions, lower didactic effects, social andeconomic exclusion.E-Learning is an excellent form of learning, due to its many advantages such as timesavings and access to a wide range of materials, but requires a lot of commitment from thelecturers to encourage students to expand their knowledge and on the part of students selfcontrol and motivation.

Aim. The aim of the study was to attempt to familiarise the subject of the systemic and local solutions introduced in Poland in order to minimise problems related to the admission of Ukrainian children to educational institutions.
Concept. The study reviewed the legal acts and recommendations of the Ombudsman concerning the education of children, mainly Ukrainian, in Polish schools.
Results and conclusions. The inclusion of a large number of Ukrainian children in the Polish educational system required the cooperation of representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, school boards, non-governmental organisations and local authorities, as well as teachers and educators themselves. In response to the difficulties, the Polish Ombudsman recommended simplifying the process of recruiting teachers and cultural assistants from Ukraine to Polish educational institutions. International classes were created and anti-discrimination and multicultural education was implemented to integrate refugees especially during distance learning. The Ministry of Education immediately responded to all recommendations with concrete actions, including planning multicultural classrooms. In addition, alternative options were suggested, such as the establishment of new educational institutions based on the Ukrainian system and the provision of remote education as an alternative to enrolling students directly in preparatory or mainstream classes. The importance of developing information in Ukrainian and Russian, such as enrolment details and electronic diary information (recommendations of the Polish Ombudsman), was also highlighted (RPO-rekomendacje (2022).
Cognitive value. The work makes it possible to become familiar with the wide range of activities undertaken for the admission of children, mainly Ukrainian, to Polish educational institutions. It provides an opportunity to identify the problem of adjusting the Polish educational system to the reception of a large number of refugees in a short period of time.

Introduction. The threat of progressive malnutrition as well as the consequences thereof among seniors have become more frequent. Systematic assessment of nutritional status becomes an indispensable element of actions towards elderly people. It allows for quick detection of risks and undertaking nutritional interventions. Unfortunately, malnutrition or threat of malnutrition is often undetected or neglected in treatment. Modern applications designed for the elderly and their caregivers may be helpful in monitoring nutritional status and taking corrective actions.
Aim & methods. The purpose of this study is to present the feasibility of remote assessment and monitoring of nutritional status with particular emphasis on the state of malnutrition. This paper attempts to present available applications for early identification of risks and initiation of nutrition interventions and actions based on analysis of solutions available or developing in Poland.
Results. In recent years, progress has been made in the field of e-health, with applications and programs dedicated to health and prevention that allow the users to increase control over their own health (Łukasik, 2021). There are applications available that allow one to calculate body weight, plan a diet, check the calorific value of products, their glycemic index, calculate the nutritional value of a meal or analyse the body composition, thus effectively allowing the user to control malnutrition.
Conclusion. A senior care program for the prevention or treatment of malnutrition must involve a physician, a nurse, a dietician, a psychologist, a physiotherapist, as well as the caregiver of the elderly person and the senior themselves. In Poland, programs aimed at improving the health of seniors have been implemented, also in the area of malnutrition, but the scale of the problem is still large.
