Objective: to characterize the scientific production related to the use of central venous catheter for patients hospitalized adults. Method: A literature search with VHL, in databases BDENF, LILACS and SCIELO, using the keywords: central venous catheter and an adult. 11 articles were selected for analysis. Results: The production on the theme is developed mainly for medical journals published in this knowledge area, approaching the incidence of infections and associated factors. Other aspects discussed relate to the indications for use of the CVC, and insertion site complications. With respect to nursing care, to prevent and minimize the amount of infections and maintain the proper functioning of the catheter, highlight hand washing as a measure paramount. Conclusion: The low current scientific production of nursing focusing on this issue points to the need to resume the clinical aspects of daily care for the hospitalized patient.

Objective: to know the nursing care performed in the perioperative period. Method: Integrative Review of literature in the databases Base de Dados de Enfermagem (BDENF) and Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS). Content analysis has been applied for analysis. Results: 23 papers and two categories: Perioperative nursing care and the organization of perioperative nursing care. In the first category, the guidelines in nursing care in are identified, as well as the prevention of hypothermia and skin lesions. In the second category, the studies show strategies to offer quality assistance through the organization of nursing work such as implementing models of care. Conclusion: The results reflect the characteristics of nursing care in the perioperative period and allow reflection on nursing care in different periods of the surgical experience.

The Multidisciplinary Residency Program aims to adapt the guidelines and principles of the SUS (Brazilian Government Health System) for the training of health workers and thus contribute to the improvement of health services. It was identified the sociodemographic, professional and academic multidisciplinary Residents profile of a university hospital in RS. It is a descriptive and quantitative study. The MBI was applied to 37 residents in 2011. There was the predominance of the female sex (83.78%), unmarried (81.08%), without children (94.6%), aged between 25 and 29 years (51.35%), joined RMS in one year after the completion of the undergraduate course (41.66%), work in hospital emphasis (66.67%), are satisfied with the residence (58.82%) and thought about quitting 62.16%. Of the total, 59.46% have work experience and study on average 111.4 minutes a day. The profile identified, young, single, with the studying habit associated to work activities favoring the formation of professional features to work with the SUS.

Objective: Identify scientific production national and international about occupational risks of nursing team that act in the hospital. Method: Study type integrative literature review. The bibliographic survey occurred by Virtual Health Library, in database BIREME, Lilacs, Scielo, Cochrane Library and Medline. The descriptors used were "nursing team" or "nursing" and "occupational risks" or "occupational risks" and "work accident". Results: 204 articles were identified and the end sample was composed by 30 scientific articles developed by nursing or with your participation, published in national or international territory. Conclusion: From the search of the produced was revealed the need to implement moments of continuing education, focusing reflexives practices, because the field of occupational health, sometimes centers on punctual training, when the worker receive instructions on how to proceed/behave.
