The developed methodology combines agent-based transport modelling with air pollutant emission and concentration modelling in street canyons. This methodology is projected on a large-scale scenario for the city of Munich. With an integrated air pollution modelling approach, the impacts of transport policies from changes in transport behaviour and vehicle technology to air quality are analysed on a detailed level considering the complete cause-and-effect chain. ; Die entwickelte Methodik kombiniert eine agentenbasierte Verkehrssimulation mit der Modellierung von Luftschadstoffemissionen und -konzentrationen. Ein wesentliches Element dieser Arbeit ist die Projektion dieser Methodik auf die Stadt München. Mit der integrierten Modellierung werden die Auswirkungen verkehrspolitischer Maßnahmen durch Veränderungen im Verkehrsverhalten und bei den Fahrzeugtechnologien auf die Luftschadstoffemissionen und –konzentrationen mit hohem Detaillierungsgrad und unter Berücksichtigung der Verursacher-Wirkungs-Zusammenhänge analysiert.

Our chapter starts from the assumption that car user costs are about to increase in the forthcoming decades. This is likely to have impacts on aggregated air pollutant emissions and on the spatial distribution of emissions. The concentration of some air pollutants still exceeds the limiting values prescribed by the European Union, especially in urban areas. Thus, the main focus of this chapter is the question whether a decrease in car travel demand due to higher user costs would result in an overproportional reduction of air pollutant emissions. When it comes to the discussion of cost-related transport policies, large-scale transport models are needed. However, for the analysis of air pollutant emissions, a detailed investigation of the micro level is also necessary. In order to combine both objectives, we use a multi-agent transport model for our simulations. The multi-agent transport simulation MATSim1 is able to simulate large-scale scenarios. It is also particularly suitable for calculating air pollutant emissions on a detailed level as complete daily plans are modeled and the traveler's identity is kept throughout the simulation process. For illustration purposes of the impacts on air pollutant emissions, nitrogen dioxide (NO2) is chosen. Furthermore, the transport sector is the main source of NO2 emissions and NO2 concentration limits are still often exceeded.

Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden ökologische und ökonomische Auswirkungen nachhaltiger Konsumweisen im Kontext der Collaborative Economy untersucht. Detaillierte Szenariobeschreibungen von flexiblem Carsharing liefern Daten für eine ökonomisch und ökologisch quantitative Bewertung. Die ökonomische Analyse gibt Aufschluss darüber, welche Wirkungen auf Wertschöpfung und Beschäftigung jeweils mit den Szenarien zum flexiblen Carsharing verbunden sind. Eine ökologische Modellierung veranschaulicht Umwelteffekte der jeweiligen Ansätze. Mit geteilten Nutzungen können monetäre Einsparungen verbunden sein. Daher wird weiterführend analysiert, welche ökologischen Effekte durch weitere Ausgaben ausgelöst werden. Um die Wertschöpfung im Falle der vollständigen Internalisierung der Umwelteffekte zu analysieren, werden entstehende Umwelteffekte monetarisiert. Aufbauend auf den gewonnenen Erkenntnissen werden politische Maßnahmen und Instrumente zur Förderung eines integrierten flexiblen Carsharings aufgezeigt und vorgeschlagen. ; The present article evaluates the ecological and economic impacts in the context of the collaborative economy. Detailed scenarios of free-floating carsharing yield data which enable the quantification of economic and environmental impacts. Economic modeling shows the value added effects and the employment effects of the scenarios while ecological modeling shows the environmental impacts. Shared usage may lead to additional available income and is thus remodelled as further environmental impacts of the income rebound effect. Finally, the environmental impacts are monetized in order to analyze the gross added value in the case of a full internalization of the environmental impacts. Last but not least the insights of the analysis will be discussed in the context of political measures and supporting instruments for an integrated system of free-floating carsharing.

Die vorliegende Studie untersucht die ökologischen und ökonomischen Auswirkungen von nachhaltigen Konsumweisen im Kontext der Collaborative Economy. Verschiedene Ansätze aus der Praxis werden dargestellt, zugeordnet und bewertet. Detaillierte Szenario-Beschreibungen von Free-Floating Carsharing und Ansätzen zum gemeinsamen Wohnen liefern Daten für eine ökonomisch und ökologisch quantitative Modellierung von Ansätzen, die als besonders relevant eingestuft wurden.Die ökonomische Modellierung gibt Aufschluss darüber, welche Wertschöpfungs- und Beschäftigungseffekte jeweils mit den Szenarien zu Free-Floating Carsharing und gemeinsamem Wohnen ver-bunden sind und die ökologische Modellierung zeigt die Umwelteinsparungseffekte der jeweiligen Ansätze auf. Da geteilte Nutzungen durch Einsparungen zu zusätzlich verfügbarem Einkommen füh-ren können, wird weiterführend analysiert, ob und in welcher Höhe Rebound-Effekte auftreten. Schließlich werden unter Heranziehung der Methodenkonvention 2.0 des Umweltbundesamtes die entstehenden Umwelteffekte monetarisiert, um die Wertschöpfung im Falle der vollständigen Internalisierung der Umwelteffekte zu analysieren.Aufbauend auf den gewonnenen Erkenntnissen werden Hemmnisse analysiert und politische Maßnahmen und Instrumente zur Förderung vorgeschlagen.
