This study creates a new model using a knowledge management approach to rank nation-states. The goal of it is to create a more accurate ranking that takes into account a broad and balanced spectrum of attributes of the nation-states including both subsistent and super knowledge. A regional knowledge distribution curve has subsistent regional knowledge on the horizontal axis and super regional knowledge on the vertical axis. The paper then uses a four-essence regional knowledge model to choose four elements that are used to construct the factors for ranking. The study provides a ranking table that uses this new ranking system.
