New in its forms and its duration, this uprising appeared as a re-politicization of French society. Through the chronology of the uprising in the department of Oise, the paper suggests that the transition from the aggregation of individuals rising in rallies to that of associations identifying themselves with a « rond-point », assemblies or « Fraternities », gives an understanding of the political meaning of the utopia of the "rond-point". The description shows a social movement deeply embedded in everyday life. This anchorage sheds light on the modalities of a re-socialization of politics and of a movement producing its own categories, expressed in the demands of "living power", of "citizen autonomy" and of "counter-power". In that sense, the article describes the course of political subjectivations and the emergence of alternative political and social visions. ; Lorsque les « sans-parts » se rallient au « pouvoir vivre ». International audience ; Les villes, en tant qu'objet des africanistes, ont été considérées comme le substrat matériel de la réflexion sur le politique africain. Représentée à partir d'une lecture opposant des « communautés rurales » aux « sociétés urbaines », la ville africaine fut cependant délimitée hors du champ des localités secondaires ou intermédiaires, reléguées au monde de la ruralité. Pour cette raison, l'exemple de Béguédo, localité située dans la province du Boulgou (Burkina Faso), fournit ici le point d'ancrage d'une réflexion historique et anthropologique sur le statutpolitique d'une ville définie par la construction d'une autonomie, voire d'une forme de souveraineté. A partir d'une terminologie qui désigne une ville réticulaire, c'est à dire la ville mais aussi un « pays » construit sur la mobilité des activités productives et sur la construction de réseaux économiques commerçants et migrants, nous essayons de montrer le caractère déterminant de la relation entre le pays, l'arrière pays et l'outre pays dans la définition du statut politique de la ville. Entendue comme une forme d' entre-soi où s'enracinent les réseaux, et se conformant ainsi aux modes de régulations sociaux et politiques d'une organisation lignagère, la localité de Béguédo alimente l'idée d'une ville segmentaire.

The cities, as the object of Africanists, have been seen as the underlying underlying of African politics. For this reason, the example of Be Égue édo, a localite located in the province of Boulgou (Burkina Faso), provides here the anchor of a historical and anthropological reflection on the political status of a town of origin by building autonomy or even a form of sovereign power. On the basis of terminology which signs a city, that is to say, the city, but also a 'country' built on the mobility of productive activities and on the construction of commercial and migrant businesses, we try to show the finality of the relationship between the country, the country's country and the country in the process of completing the city's political status. International audience ; In Northern Kenya, the history of protected areas reflects the debates that have shaped the world of conservation and environmental concerns. For a long time colonial assumptions about pastoralist uses of natural resources have been part of environmental policies and legitimized appropriation of nature. How does the implementation of natural resources management projects interact with pastoralists' natural heritage and their future economies in the context of socio-ecological transition? This paper questions the relations between conservation practices and the regional environmental dynamics of five protected areas in the broader Chalbi desert. It describes models ranging from conservationist models used for large areas to more recent experiments and socio-technical choices implemented on smaller scale-fenced parcels. Through two central water places located in North Horr and Kalacha, we also describe the impacts of natural protected areas on pastoralist livelihood in the Chalbi desert. This situation, therefore, prompts for suggestions to discuss the split between environmental conservation and development and to better integrate research on socio-ecological dynamics in environmental policies.

In many Arid and Semi-Arid Lands, the meaning of heritage is often correlated with natural resources on which the livelihoods of the inhabitants depend. Over the last 20 years, Northern Kenya has seen the implementation of various models for protection of natural resources in order to conserve biodiversity and scarce resources (water, soil, pasture, forest). The greater ecosystem of Marsabit county inclusive of the Chalbi desert, comprise various natural protected areas endowed with immense biological diversity and water which support vital ecosystem services and the existing social and political organizations. At the same time, these conservation practices tend to inhibit some vital functionality of the areas protected such as the socio-cultural values and practices (transhumance road, place for trade, land uses.) of pastoralists' livelihood. Through the description of the multi socio-ecological functions of protected areas, the workshop will shed light on the multiple interactions and connectivity between protected areas, anthropo-ecosystem and greater ecosystem. This situation prompts for suggestions to address the interfaces between ecosystems and societies and to better integrate thoughts centered on the sustainability of anthropo-ecosystems, rather than the split between "environmental conservation" and "development".
