The survey-based study, concluded in April 1995, focuses on changing attitudes and possibilities for industrial, mainly entrepreneurial development. It recommends needed and feasible policies and programs. Because of security, political and economic uncertainties, no substantial growth can be expected from direct private foreign investments. Therefore, the main thrust of industrial development in the next years will have to be based on entrepreneurial development of the Palestinian private sector. The mainly small existing and new establishments should be supported with subsidized consultation and training. (DOI-Cls)
