Das Anliegen dieses Beitrags besteht darin, Ergebnisse der 1953 in Bolivien eingeleiteten Agrarreform zu analysieren und zu den damals im Programm der landwirtschaftlichen Umgestaltung fixierten Zielvorstellungen in Beziehung zu setzen. Die Untersuchung macht deutlich, daß das Reformprojekt in weiten Bereichen nicht die gewünschten Effekte erzielte und für zahlreiche grundsätzliche Probleme - wie Rückständigkeit der ländlichen Gebiete, Unterbeschäftigung, Hunger und Massenelend sowie Abwanderung starker Bevölkerungsgruppen in die städtischen Zentren - eine Lösung nicht oder nur teilweise herbeiführte
