Building Global Labour Networks: The Case Of The Global Labour University
This article explains the establishment and challenges of the Global Labour University. The authour explains this initiative is directed to "facilitate discourse, stimulate research, and provide university-level qualification programs on the political, economic and social dimensions of globalization for labour and trade union experts." This initiative is the only one of its kind in breadth and scope in the world today aimed primarily in unifying forces among the workers and academics on how to confront eroding workers rights by global capital. In a time of globalization and a seemingly paralysis in constructing alternative economic models such an initiative is of the most critical importance.
