Geological disasters in mines, ecological environment and geology and geomorphology are closely bound up with each other. To reduce or avoid economic loss and to decrease the threat degree of geological disasters to life safety, the protection of geological environment are formulated in this study. Specifically, this includes taking mines that are dominated by thin bedded carbonate as the research objects. The goals of this study include prevention and control of geological disasters and protection of geological environment. The data are based on characteristics of geological strata in mines collected by the exploration, and combined with the characteristics of geomorphic environment, relevant rules aiming at the prevention and control of geological disasters. Then, pursuant to the selection of indicators, an evaluation system is constructed to verify the effectiveness of measures and strategies proposed, in which the score value is converted into the corresponding level to test the implementation effect of the measures and strategies proposed. Through comparing the changes of the utility levels before and after the implementation of measures and strategies proposed, it can be seen that the geological disaster levels of the five mining areas in the study region are respectively improved from the non-ideal levels V, IV, V, V, IV to II, I, I, II, II, with the tailings pond leakage times less than 4 times and collapse volume less than 5m3. And, the levels of geological environment are upgraded from levels IV, IV, IV, V, V to ideal levels II, II, II, I, II, accomplished by the vegetation coverage rate of the mine reaching more than 35%, as well as the recovery rate of exploitation and utilization rate of tailings both exceeding 85%, which indicates that the protection strategy proposed in this paper has good practicality and feasibility.

A liner conference, as a self-regulation organisational form of liner shipping companies, constitutes a typical "hard-core cartel" with significant anti-competitive effect. One of the main three trade routes of liner shipping traffic is the Europe-Asia Trade, on the two ends of which both the European Community (EC) and the Peoples Republic of China (PRC) play important roles in the international liner shipping market. However, the competition regimes on liner conferences in both jurisdictions are not equivalent. From a comparative point of view, this book reviews the historical development of maritime policy and regulatory legislation in the EC and the PRC, catches insight into the system of regulation regime and individual provisions in substantive and procedural meaning, and finally put a perspective into the future competition regulation in respect of the latest developments in both jurisdictions.

China&rsquo ; s competitive education system has produced notably high learning outcomes, but they may be costly. One potential cost is high levels of anxiety. China has launched several initiatives aimed at improving student mental health. However, little is known about how effective these programs and policies are. The goal of this paper was to examine anxiety levels among children and adolescents in rural China, and to identify which subpopulations were particularly vulnerable to anxiety. Data were aggregated from 10 different school-level surveys conducted in rural areas of five provinces between 2008 and 2015. In total, 50,361 students were evaluated using the 100-item, nine-subcategory Mental Health Test (a variation of the Children&rsquo ; s Manifest Anxiety Scale). Seven percent of students were at risk for overall anxiety. However, over half of students were at risk for at least one subcategory of anxiety. Students at higher risk for anxiety included students from poorer counties and families, female students, secondary school students, and students with lower levels of academic performance. Many students in rural China are at risk for anxiety, and certain student subpopulations are particularly vulnerable. We suggest that China&rsquo ; s government review and update student mental health programs and policies.

AbstractInformation technology and e‐commerce enable websites to provide personalized services based on consumer information, thereby providing convenience to consumers. However, the collection and use of consumer information may trigger concerns regarding privacy invasion. Grounded in exchange theory, the current study constructs a framework that links web personalization to consumer decisions (i.e., website loyalty and purchase intention) through consumer trust and reactance. The study also uses reactance theory as the theoretical basis to examine the moderating role of privacy concerns. An online survey was used to assess the effect of web personalization on consumer loyalty. The results show that consumers' privacy concerns negatively moderate the relationship between web personalization and website loyalty, and the influencing mechanism differs according to the levels of privacy concerns. More specifically, when consumers are less concerned about privacy, web personalization strengthens consumer trust to enhance loyalty. When consumers are more concerned about privacy, web personalization affects their loyalty through psychological reactance. The study findings show that although personalized services provide convenience to consumers, websites should carefully consider consumers' privacy issues. The trade‐off between web personalization and privacy concerns is necessary for a website's success.
