The significance of small and medium enterprises (SME) including the development of micro enterprises has been emphasized more and more often in the national economic policy of many countries. This issue is also topical in the economy of Latvia, especially in the situation when it is necessary to revive and stimulate the economic activity in the country. Taking into account the measures planned by the European Commission and the amendments to the legislation of the Republic of Latvia and the planned measures regarding the support of SME as well as the differentiation of requirements in the field of accounting depending on the scale of activities the authors analyse the questions which are connected with the potential development trends in the accounting of enterprises. The authors study the criteria of SME and micro enterprises in the normative documentation of European Union and the Republic of Latvia, analyse the accounting requirements for SME, especially, for micro enterprises, identify the topical problems and make recommendations concerning the solution.

Recommendations The study confirms the premise that has recently also been increasingly voiced in foreign publications, that the host society plays the most important role in fostering integration. In order to avoid the isolation of migrants in professional, international or ethnic bubbles, it is important to provide opportunities for meaningful contacts with the local community and to promote openness. The bonds of friendship that develop can encourage migrants to become more deeply rooted in the host society. Secondly, the analysis clearly shows that when the future of a migrant, including the length and possibility of remaining in a given country, is uncertain, the motivation to invest time and effort in integration is reduced. It is therefore important on the part of the state to give migrants as much long-term certainty as possible and a more stable basis for planning their future whenever possible. Thirdly, there is a need to review integration indicators traditionally used in international comparisons (e.g. MIPEX) in the context of today's complex migration patterns. The findings call for 'more mobile thinking' (Shubin & Dickey, 2013) and a relationship-based, dynamic and transformative interpretation of integration that takes into account the unpredictable trajectories of mobility and integration and recognises the diverse needs of migrants. Fourth, it is desirable that attempts to promote integration become more holistic, open and «migrant-centred». Rather than trying to squeeze migrants into a formally defined 'framework', it is necessary to listen to and take into account their different expectations, to help them experience their roots, to support their life strategies and to exploit the potential of international mobility. This is the only way to reduce the politicised nature of integration, the assimilationist orientation and the disconnection of integration indicators from the real experience of migrants. The turn of the 21st century has marked several changes in many social processes in the whole world including Europe and Latvia, such as the disappearance of antiquated professions and creation of completely new ones, which is related to replacing students´ professional orientation with career education.Rapid development and changes in the job market, unemployment, constantly increasing information about jobs and educational paths cause confusion, indecision and disinformation for schoolchildren choosing their own career. This demands from the school to be able to develop the student`s ability to make decision about their future choices.To understand why the term "career education" has replaced the term "professional orientation", which was used in the 20th century, this article analyses the essence of both concepts in relation to social processes and political stances in different eras.

Saskaņā ar Latvijā izveidoto dabas aizsardzības sistēmu zemes īpašniekiem tiek uzlikti saimnieciskās darbības ierobežojumi, lai panāktu vides aizsardzības mērķu īstenošanu. Ja zemes īpašniekam tiek uzlikti būtiski īpašuma tiesību ierobežojumi, viņam ir tiesības uz taisnīgu atlīdzību. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot kompensāciju par saimnieciskās darbības ierobežojumiem dabas aizsardzības interesēs nepieciešamību, vai šīs kompensācijas piešķiršanas nosacījumi sasniedz likumdevēja mērķi, kā arī vai kompensāciju veidus būtu nepieciešams paplašināt. Darba uzdevums ir pētīt īpašuma tiesību izpratni Latvijā, dabas aizsardzības sistēmas izveidi, starptautiskos, nacionālos normatīvos aktus un tiesu praksi. Darbā tiek noskaidrota kompensācijas nepieciešamība, norādīti trūkumi tās piešķiršanas nosacījumos un kompensācijas veidu atbilstība taisnīgas atlīdzības jēdzienam. If the landowner was imposed on fundamental restrictions of property rights, he has rights for fair compensation. The aim of the work is to find out how to get compensation because of the economic activities' restrictions connected with nature protection interests, if the conditions of compensation appropriation accomplish a purpose of legislator, as well as if the forms of the compensations will be necessary to expand. The task of the work is to examine the comprehension of the property rights in Latvia, the establishment of nature protection system, international, national laws and regulations and law. In the work there is ascertained the necessity of compensation, indicated the drawbacks of the conditions, when the compensation is allocated, as well as there are studied the kinds of compensations and their conformity with the conception of fair compensations. Vairākus gadu tūkstošus pasaulē aktuāla problēma ir tikumības un dzimumneaizskaramības saglabāšana. Gadījumos, kad tiek apdraudēta personas tikumība, dzimumbrīvība vai dzimumneaizskaramība, ir nepieciešama valsts iejaukšanās, sodot likumpārkāpēju par citu personu tiesību aizskārumu. Šā maģistra darba galvenais mērķis ir analizēt pamatproblēmas, kas saistītas ar dzimumnoziegumu kvalifikāciju. Iztrādājot šo darbu autore iepazinās gan ar likumdevēja pieļautām kļūdām, gan ar praksē izveidojušām problēmām. Veicot šo izpēti, autore guva priekšstatu par nepieciešamajiem uzlabojumiem un grozījumiem šobrīd spēkā esošajā Krimināllikumā. Autore tāpat vērtēja, vai Latvijā kā demokrātiskā un tiesiskā valstī tiek ievērotas cilvēktiesības un krimināltiesību principi. ; For many thousands of years morality and sexual inviolability still remains an actual problem. Legal protection by the state is required when the persons morality, sexual inviolability or independence is threatened from the others. Every offender must be punished in case of violation of person's rights. The main objective of this master's work is the analysis of basic problems, connected with qualification of sexual crimes. During the work author became aware of errors from legislation as well as practical problems of law implementation. In this survey author has got the conception about the necessary improvements and alterations of current criminal legislation. Also author evaluated how the human rights an principles of criminal law are taken into account in Latvia as a country of democracy and law based state.

Anotācija Izstrādātajā promocijas darbā "Klases audzinātāja darbība pusaudža pašaudzināšanas sekmēšanā" pētīta aktuāla problēma – pusaudžu pašaudzināšana kā savas attīstības vadība. Promocijas darba teorētiskais komponents veidojās, analizējot 18., 19., 20.gs. Eiropas filozofu, pedagogu, psihologu darbus un audzināšanas praksi, atklājot sakarību starp audzināšanu un pašaudzināšanu, kura pārbaudīta eksperimentāli. Konstatējošais eksperiments deva iespēju izzināt sakarības pusaudžu fiziskajā un intelektuālajā attīstībā. Pētījumā izdevās noskaidrot, ka pastāv sakarība starp straujām svara un garuma izmaiņām un sekmēm mācībās. Sociometriskā aptauja un tās rezultāti deva iespēju grupēt pusaudžus absolūtajos līderos, līderu grupā, aktīvajos izpildītājos, pasīvajos līdzdalībniekos, atstumtajos. Atklājās, ka līderpozīcijas klasē ieņem pusaudži ar līdzsvarotu fizisko un intelektuālo attīstību. Lai formulētu sakarību, vajadzīgs ļoti liels pētījums, tāpēc var runāt tikai par sakarības pazīmēm. Konstatējošais eksperiments atklāja, ka, no vienas puses, pusaudži nepilnīgi apzinās savas attīstības saturu un līmeni un, no otras puses, ka skolotāji, īpaši klases audzinātāji, nepietiekami virza skolēnus sevis izzināšanai un mērķtiecīgai pašaudzināšanai, netiek nodrošināta audzināšanas darba pēctecība. Tas deva iespēju projektēt veidojošo eksperimentu divos posmos. Lai mainītu reālās audzināšanas praksi, pirmajam posmam tika izvirzīts mērķis – izveidot pusaudžu pašaudzināšanas programmu un uzsākt tās īstenošanu sadarbībā ar klases audzinātāju. Otrajam posmam tika izvirzīts mērķis – noskaidrot attieksmi pret sadarbību un organizēt sadarbības pilnveidošanu klases audzinātāja vadībā: pusaudzis – vecāki – skolotāji. Pašaudzināšanas satura pamatkomponente – attieksme pret sevi, citiem, mācībām - veidojas mijsakarībā ar pašaudzināšanas prasmēm. Attieksmju attīstība pusaudžiem ir tas vienojošais komponents, kas veselumā saista audzināšanu un pašaudzināšanu, jo audzināšanas darba rezultāts - ir pusaudža attieksmju, t.i., viņa vērtību sistēmas veidošanās. Skolai demokratizējoties, pusaudžu savstarpējā un pusaudžu  pieaugušo līdztiesīga, aktīva pedagoģiska sadarbība kļūst objektīvi nosacīta nepieciešamība, kurā audzināšana/pašaudzināšana ir vienots process; un sadarbība pusaudzis  pieaugušais pusaudzim kļūst par vērtību, ja audzināšanas/pašaudzināšanas rezultātā mainās attieksme pret sevi, citiem cilvēkiem, mācībām. Promocijas darba apjoms ir 181 lpp., analīzē izmantoti 186 avoti, kuri apkopoti literatūras sarakstā. Saturs ilustrēts 44 attēlos un 57 tabulās. ; Annotation The elaborated promotion work "Class teacher's action in promotion of teenager's self-education" investigated very topical problem – self-education of teenagers as the management of one's own development. The theoretical component of promotion work was created through the analysis of works of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries European philosophers, pedagogues and psychologists and their educational practice, revealing the connections between education and self-education which was tested experimentally. Fixing experiment allowed recognize the connections between the intellectual and physical development. It was possible to clarify during the research that there exists connection between rapid weight and length changes and academic achievements. Sociometric inquiry and its results allowed to group teenagers: absolute leaders, group of leaders, active performers, passive participants, castaways. The leader positions in the class are occupied by the teenagers with balanced physical and intellectual development. There is the necessity in wider investigation in order to formulate the connections therefore we can speak only about the indications of connections. The fixing experiment revealed that, from one side, teenagers partially are conscious of their development content and level, and, from the other side, that teachers, especially class teachers, insufficiently direct the students to self-cognition and purposeful self-education. There is no succession of educational work. It allowed design the forming experiment in two stages. In order to change the real educational practice, the first stage target was the following – to create the self-educational program for teenagers and to start its realization in cooperation with class teacher. The second stage target – to clarify the attitude towards cooperation and organize the improvement of cooperation under the supervision of class teacher: teenager – parents – teachers. Basic component of self-educational content – attitudes to oneself, other, studies – is forming in inter-connection with self-educational skills. Development of attitudes for teenagers is uniting component which in the whole joins education and self-education, as the result is common – teenager attitudes, i.e., his values as the basic component of attitudes. As the school becomes more democratic, the mutual cooperation between teenagers and equal, active pedagogical cooperation between teenagers  adults becomes objective necessity where education/self-education is united process; and cooperation (Teenager  Adult) becomes a value for the teenager in self-education if as the result of education/selfeducation changes the attitude towards himself, other people and studies. The amount of promotion work is 181 pages, 186 sources summarized in the bibliography. The content includes 44 pictures and 57 tables.

Mūžizglītība mūsdienu mainīgajā sabiedrībā ir kļuvusi par nepieciešamību, ar ko saskaras visa sabiedrība un visas institūcijas, tajā skaitā augstskolas. To apzinoties Eiropas valstu universitātes 2007.gadā izstrādājušas Eiropas universitāšu mūžizglītības hartu, kurā apņēmušās veikt vairākus uzdevumus, mūžizglītības ideju realizēšanai savās augstskolās. Šajā pētījumā analizēts, vai augstākās izglītības iestādē Latvijā ir iespējams nodrošināt pievilcīgu un pieejamu izglītības piedāvājumu cilvēkiem mūža garumā un kādā veidā to labāk izdarīt. Lai to pierādītu, pētīta un analizēta mūžizglītības situācija vienā no Latvijas augstskolām. Pētījums veikts vairākos posmos. Pētījuma pirmajā posmā analizēta dažādu autoru izpratne par to, kas ir mūžizglītība, un viedokļi par faktoriem, kas mūsdienās aktualizējuši mūžizglītības svarīgumu ikviena cilvēka dzīvē. Meklētas atbildes uz jautājumiem, kāda ir mūžizglītības teorētiskā un likumiskā bāze tās realizācijai augstskolās, kāds šobrīd ir mūžizglītības piedāvājums ārpus akadēmiskajām un profesionālajām studijām vienā no Latvijas Republikas augstskolām, kādu mērķauditoriju tas līdz šim piesaistījis, vai izglītības iestādes vide atbilst mūžizglītības izvirzītajiem uzdevumiem. Veikts fiziskās vides apsekojums, lai noskaidrotu, cik lielā mērā tā ir piemērota cilvēku ar dažādām vajadzībām iesaistīšanai mūžizglītībā. Izmantojot aptauju, iegūtas, apkopotas un analizētas atbildes uz jautājumu, kā tālākizglītības programmu un kursu klausītāji vērtē mūžizglītības realizāciju augstskolā, kā arī, kādi ir viņu ieteikumi mūžizglītības piedāvājuma pilnveidošanai. Apkopojot pētījuma rezultātus secināts, ka paveikts liels darbs mūžizglītības uzdevumu īstenošanā un līdzšinējie programmu un kursu klausītāji augstskolas darbību vērtē pozitīvi, tomēr uzlabojumi vēl nepieciešami gan normatīvo aktu pilnveidošanā, gan piedāvājuma spektra paplašināšanā, gan informācijas pieejamībā, gan klausītāju loka paplašināšanā u.c. Pētījuma noslēgumā piedāvāti priekšlikumi mūžizglītības uzdevumu īstenošanas pilnveidošanai. ; Within a context of contemporary shifting society, lifelong learning has become a necessity facing all educational institutions, including universities among them. With the mentioned premise in mind, universities of numerous European countries have developed European Universities' Charter on Lifelong Learning in 2007 where they aim to implement numerous tasks to put into practice ideas of lifelong learning. This research analyses possibilities of higher educational institutions to provide attractive and available prospects for public at any stage/age and in which way to succeed in a doing so. In-depth analysis and research of situation in regards to lifelong learning has been carried out in one of the Latvian higher educational institutions to substantiate abovementioned argument. Research has been done in several stages. Firstly, selection and analysis of a term of lifelong learning itself by various scholars has been done and their views on factors contributing towards increasing importance of lifelong learning relating to the life of the every individual. An explanation has been sought after the following issues: what is a theoretical and legal base for implementation of the lifelong learning in higher educational institutions; what's on offer currently regarding lifelong learning besides academic and professional studies in one of the institutions of higher education; what kind of target audience been covered so far; if the environment of higher educational institution complies with overall tasks of lifelong learning. Actual assessment of learning environment has been completed to establish up to which stage if this higher educational institution is suitable for involvement of individuals with special needs into the process of lifelong learning. Replies of a used questionnaire represent evaluation given by clientele of the continuing education courses and programmes' on the issues of implementation of lifelong learning programmes in this higher educational institution and their wishes in relation to the existing offer of those programmes. Data of this study has been accumulated from the research of various scholars, documents, website and departments of the higher education institution and database https://luis.lanet.lv and from interviews with staff members of the units offering lifelong learning programmes. An assessment of the premises of higher educational institution has been carried out. Outlining results of this study, conclusion can be drawn that huge effort has been done to complete tasks of lifelong learning already and existing clientele values this endeavour optimistically though some improvements are still necessary in developing existing legislation, diversifying available offers in relation to access of information, broadening the target audience, etc. At the conclusion of the research, there are offered suggestions on how to enhance implementation of lifelong learning tasks.
