The creation of audiovisual products is currently one the most visible manifestations of multiculturalism in the world. From documentaries to TV series, or even from videogames to software, the interaction of cultures has an unparalleled window from which it can be shown, understood and spread through audiovisual material. It is obvious that translation and translators play a crucial role in the transmission of such material, and in view of this situation, the choice of translation modes is far from neutral or innocent. This paper aims to prove that, contrary to popular belief, dubbing can be more effective than subtitling in the manifestation of cultural differences or conflict, and that, in any case, dubbing and subtitling are subjected to specific constraints by themselves and with regard to intercultural communication (ICC) that must be taken into account in any critical review or analysis.

In this study we approach the translation of audiovisual products as a way to construct collective and individual identities. We start from the premise that, in the global era in which we live, (translated) audiovisual media contribute to the formation of intersectional identities characterized by features such as age, gender, race or sexuality. For this reason, it becomes necessary to understand translated discourse as an integral part of the social fabric. To support this statement, we study the group of Latina inmates in the series Orange Is the New Black, particularly with regard to their sexuality and use of Spanish, in order to delve into the asymmetries that emerge from the re-creation of this minority in the original and dubbed versions of the series. ; El estudio que presentamos se aproxima a la traducción de productos audiovisuales como vía para construir identidades colectivas e individuales. Partimos de la premisa de que, en la época global que vivimos, los medios audiovisuales (traducidos) contribuyen a la formación de identidades interseccionales atravesadas por rasgos como la edad, el género, la raza o la sexualidad. Por ello, como mantendremos, resulta necesario entender el discurso traducido como parte constituyente del tejido social. Grain size and shape are two important parameters in Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) and Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) dating of sediment, since they have a direct impact on several correction factors that are used for evaluating the dose rate. These parameters were evaluated by static image analysis for a wide range of quartz and feldspar grain samples. Our results indicate that there are many factors that may influence the final grain size and shape. Overall, grains are not perfect spheres, but should be rather approximated to smooth slightly elongated ellipsoids, with a width that is on average about 25% smaller than the length. For multiple grains dating, this may have an influence of a few percents on the beta dose rate evaluation, and thus even less on the total dose rate. However, in the case of single grain dating, the impact may be somewhat more significant given the large variability in size and shape between grains that may be encountered in a natural sediment. BACKGROUND: Persistent pulmonary
hypertension of the newborn (PPHN) has an incidence of 2-7
cases per 1000 live births. Currently there are different
treatment approaches for this disease, all of them having
similar results. OBJECTIVE: To describe thedifferent
treatment approaches and the evolution of patients with
PPHN in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the
Spanish Hospital of Mexico. MATERIALS AND METHODS:
Retrospective descriptive study in which the records of
newborns diagnosed with PPHN in the NICU Spanish Hospital
of Mexico from January 2006 to September 2013 to obtain
data on its evolution and treatment were reviewed. A
nonprobability sampling was done for convenience of
newborns who met the selection criteria during the study
period. RESULTS: We included 80 newborns receiving care,
60% were men, 29% had pulmonary arterial hypertension mild,
61% moderate and 10% severe. The most commonly used method
was conventional mechanical ventilation (60%) and the most
commonly used drug was sildenafil (100%). 12.5% mortality
and bronchopulmonary dysplasia as a complication in 20% of
cases was recorded. CONCLUSION: Most newborns had a
favorable outcome (73.7%) and found that sildenafil is a
drug recommended in the treatment of PPHN.

2MASS J20395358+4222505 is an obscured early B supergiant near the massive OB star association Cygnus OB2. Despite its bright infrared magnitude (Ks = 5.82) it has remained largely ignored because of its dim optical magnitude (B = 16.63, V = 13.68). In a previous paper, we classified it as a highly reddened, potentially extremely luminous, early B-type supergiant. We obtained its spectrum in the U, B and R spectral bands during commissioning observations with the instrument MEGARA at the Gran Telescopio CANARIAS. It displays a particularly strong Hα emission for its spectral type, B1 Ia. The star seems to be in an intermediate phase between supergiant and hypergiant, a group that it will probably join in the near (astronomical) future. We observe a radial velocity difference between individual observations and determine the stellar parameters, obtaining Teff = 24 000 K and log gc = 2.88 ± 0.15. The rotational velocity found is large for a B supergiant, v sin i = 110 ± 25 kms−1. The abundance pattern is consistent with solar, with a mild C underabundance (based on a single line). Assuming that J20395358+4222505 is at the distance of Cyg OB2, we derive the radius from infrared photometry, finding R = 41.2 ± 4.0 R⊙, log(L/L⊙) = 5.71 ± 0.04 and a spectroscopic mass of 46.5 ± 15.0 M⊙. The clumped mass-loss rate (clumping factor 10) is very high for the spectral type, M˙ = 2.4 × 10−6 M⊙ a−1. The high rotational velocity and mass-loss rate place the star at the hot side of the bi-stability jump.
