Agricultural growth and competitiveness under policy reforms in Ghana
In: Technical Publication, No. 61
Using a Policy Analysis Matrix (e.g. a social cost-benefit analysis and basic concepts of trade theory) the study examines the impact of policy reforms on agricultural growth and competitiveness. After a historical overview of agricultural policies in Ghana a detailed account of policies as they affect agricultural incentives is given (Chap. 2 and 3). Descriptive sections (Chap. 4 and 5) identify the principal constraints limiting agricultural change. The results of the Policy Analysis Matrix are presented in Chapter 6. The last two Chapters discuss the environment necessary for agricultural growth and identify facilitating factors and prospects for growth. (GIGA-Sbd)
