The role of the social work professional in the 21st century is to recognize human rights in their daily practice. They should focus on challenging the structural societal conditions that diminish their clients' rights and at the same time on initiating interventions that resist oppressive structures that deny basic political and economic rights. This quantitative study aimed at exploring the level of engagement in different rights-based practices for a small sample of Romanian social workers. Results showed that practitioners are highly involved in a 'strengths perspective', but scored lower on 'activism' dimension. Further implications for social work education are discussed.

Abstract
Statement of problem: Future orientation is a multidimensional and multistage phenomenon. Studies have indicated that how adolescents anticipate and plan for their future is greatly influenced by the particular context in which they are placed, but most of the research in this area has been conducted with adolescents from western cultures. Aim: This study examined the personal (getting married, moving with the partner, having a child) and professional (having a job, starting a business) future planning of adolescents in contemporary Romania and its relation with adolescents' background and with parents and friends support. Method: We administered a questionnaire measuring their future orientation and support from parents and friends to 3524 high school seniors from Romania. Results: Adolescents' personal future planning varies across different life domains. Females were more likely to plan moving with the partner and getting married, while males were more likely to plan a career option. Family had an effect on professional plans, but the effect is negative, while friends were positive associated with all the future planning

In the present paper we approached bonding and bridging social capital among gamers (seen as individuals who spend at least an hour a day in games) who use (or don't use) voice communication while playing. Suspecting that voice communication usage facilitates the social capital formation. We also investigated the role of perceived anonymity as a confounding variable. To test our hypothesis, a quantitative research was carried out. The study focuses on the subsequent elements: voice application usage; perceived anonymity; and the presence of the following forms of social capital: bonding social capital and bridging social capital. Data collection was based on surveys spread in the online environment and resulted in a sample of 102 respondents. Based on quasi-experimental design we obtained data that display higher mean scores on bonding and bridging social capital scales on the experiment group (voice communication users) than in control group (non-voice communication users). Also, control group have a lower score on the perceived anonymity scale. One explanation for our results could be that voice communication reduces perceived anonymity and individuals that consider themselves as having a low level of anonymity engage in more controlled behaviors that in turn facilitate the formation of social capital.

The inclusion of digital technology in family life has led to the emergence of new practices of 'being together.' Communication between family members is mediated by digital technology, thus producing changes that can be observed in family dynamics. Eleven families participated in the present study that aimed to analyze family interaction with digital technology. Our qualitative study was guided by two research questions: How do children and adults use and subjectively assess digital technology in their everyday lives? and How do families react to digital technology use and inclusion in their daily family routines? Referring to the different forms of digital behaviors that a family can manifest in relation to the use of digital technology, we identified three specific family approaches to digitalization: Resistant, Retained, and Receptive. The 3Rs family conceptual model regarding the acceptance and use of digital technology includes children's and adults' perspectives and provides a constructivist approach to understanding how digital technology connects all family subsystems and ultimately produces changes in the dynamics and construction of family life and identity.

Abstract
The profession of social work in Romania was re-established in the early 1990s after being completely abolished for three decades during the communist period. This article reports findings from the first national survey of Romanian social workers, which studied characteristics of social workers and their roles, tasks and types of services provided. In addition, it explores how burnout, income and efficacy were associated with social workers' plans for leaving the profession or country. This study used a seventy-three-item online survey tool to collect data from 1,057 social workers from across Romania using a quota sampling strategy. Romanian social workers skewed young, female and from the Romanian ethnic group. Whilst Romania has a large rural population, social workers primarily practiced in urban areas. Social workers had fairly high levels of job satisfaction and feelings of self-efficacy, and were most likely to be working in child and family protection using direct practice methods. Over one-fifth of social workers indicated they were considering leaving the field in the next two years. Those with higher incomes had lower odds that they planned to leave the field within two years, whilst those with burnout had over twice the odds they planned to leave the field.
