"This book explores encounters and interactions between international students and local civil society organizations (CSOs) in Japan. Based on results of a cross-case analysis, this study reveals the possibilities for international students in Japan of creating social capital in the short term in culturally and socially diverse groups. While a conventional approach sees universities as the main support providers, this research shows the role of local CSOs as alternative actors offering international student support. Unlike the long-standing paradigm viewing Japanese civil society as top-down and closely following the government, this book uncovers many decentralized and bottom-up organizational types. Furthermore, it highlights an active part taken by foreign staff and volunteers in Japanese CSOs, which challenges the guest-host dichotomy of the previous literature. Presenting a reconsidered insight into the role of international students and their interaction with CSOs in community building this book will appeal to students and scholars of Asian studies, migration studies as well as organizers of CSOs and faculty of international higher education institutions"--

There is no doubt that technology occupies a very important part of our daily lives today, and that the Fourth Industrial Revolution covers all industries. The financial sector is one of the sectors that has also been greatly influenced by Industry 4.0. Banking. Accounting, insurance, the tax function, cash management, control, and many others are developing thanks to the use of digital technologies and the automation of financial processes. Fintech companies, the use of mobile devices in banking, the crypto-banking system based on the blockchain technology, as well as the open banking systems are developing so dynamically that they have drastically transformed the financial sector in recent years.

When it comes to macroprudential policy, we are inevitably talking about financial stability and systemic risk. It is undeniable that financial stability is an important prerequisite for achieving sustainable economic growth. Therefore governments have long strived to regulate financial institutions in order to ensure their sustainability and ability to perform their duties. Before the global financial crisis of 2008 it was considered that stability could be achieved on the basis of regulation of individual financial institutions. However, the crisis has led to a rethinking of this understanding. It has brought regulators' attention to systemic risk, which is much more than the sum of the individual risks accompanying the activity of financial institutions. As a consequence, the holistic approach has also "sneaked" into financial science and imposed the need to manage risks taking into account the "full picture".

In times of globalization world faces serious social and environmental challenges, ranging from an ageing population to climate change mitigation. In order to address such complex challenges modern society need to contribute. And business is one of the most powerful sectors of it after government and media. Interestingly, companies effect on consumers and consumers have huge influence on companies, as well. Apart from creating economic welfare, enterprises have to face new challenges and responsibilities as a result of changing expectations of consumers, investors, citizens and government. Today business is asked to voluntarily accept social and environmental responsibilities which go beyond the legally required obligations in order to contribute to sustainable development. The way that businesses manage the economic, social and environmental impacts of their operations into their values, culture, strategy and operations is well-known as corporate social responsibility (CSR). Key CSR issues: environmental management, eco-efficiency, responsible sourcing, stakeholder engagement, labor standards and working conditions, employee and community relations, social equity, gender balance, human rights, good governance, and anti-corruption measures. Therefore, corporate social responsibility system of a company could be considered as "Business castle" gates – different channels to external environment of an enterprise.

Innovation has been long recognized as a source of competitive advantage. Although human resource (HR) is considered the most valuable asset in today's firms, how HR innovation enables firms to deliver superior performance remains an area of ambiguity. There is a general consensus that competitive advantage built on human resource innovation is not easily imitable, and therefore vital to the sustainability of firm growth and competitiveness. Yet, the primary focus of both practitioner and academic studies has been on technical (product and process) innovation with little attention paid to non-technical innovation such as HR innovation.
