In recent years, some workshops and research cases have arisen in China to seek for suitable ways for heritage conservation and development of historic villages. However, the issue of multi-cooperation has not been much mentioned in research works. The case of Cangdong Project in Guangdong Province is a social enterprise. It is a center focusing on heritage education. It organizes tailor-made workshops for interested people from all over China and Hong Kong, Macao and overseas, including university courses for credits, summer/winter camps for primary and middle school students, as well as common people who are interested in heritage conservation. The purpose of the education center is to enhance heritage/cultural interest of the younger generations and common people, and try to work with local villagers to build a wealthy community. Nowadays, more and more villagers moved out for work and the countryside population in China is decreasing, this project also aims to create work opportunities for villagers through heritage conservation projects, so that the villagers can be willing to stay. The project focuses more in a sustainable way for community development. It has been five years since the project was set up in Cangdong Village. The project team worked with villagers, city people, students, scholars, different levels of local governments, investors, Medias, charitable organizations, as well as the market of tourism. As such, a platform of multi-cooperation for the above parties has formed during the past five years. This paper takes the Project experience from 2010-2015 as the case to study multi-cooperation in the field of heritage conservation in China, as well as to discuss how to co-operate the subjective initiatives of different stokeholds.

Variables that expand real options models provide interfaces by which entrepreneurs may view prospective ventures, or resources. Factors affecting real option values extend from the external environment of a venture and are forms of various terms of business between entrepreneurs, the venture, and the external environment. The identification of interfaces increases the resulting value of a real option and provides entrepreneurs information by which to structure ventures that extract value from arbitrage and innovation opportunities.

This article examines what the performance of Indonesia's political parties seven years on from Soehartos resignation can tell us about politics in the country. Using the party system institutionalization framework first developed by Scott Mainwaring and Timothy Scully in Building Democratic Institutions: Party Systems in Latin America (1995), the article finds that Indonesias parties and party system show a mixed score card, strengths and weaknesses mixing to deprive the parties of legitimacy. On balance, the 2004 elections and 2005 regional elections represent a step towards further deinstitutionalization due to the primacy of personalities in the direct elections of the president and the regional heads. Democracy may indeed now be the only game in town, but its operation is likely to be rocky. There is a silver lining, however; accountability has been somewhat improved due to the electorates realization of its power to reward and punish parties and political leaders. AbstractTaking as a starting point the challenge of containing the spread of epidemics, this article provides an oblique critique of the connections between biopolitics and contact tracing. Aligning the question of biopolitical strategies with epidemiology, the article follows the lines of continuity between containment strategies, contact-tracing technology, and circulations and networks. The uptake of mobile application surveillance by government entities to trace the spread of SARS-CoV-2 has seamlessly supplemented containment measures. Singapore's deployment of TraceTogether, an application developed by the Ministry of Health and Government Technology Agency, circumvents the use of geolocation tracking: formulating a network of infected bodies using proximity data, the population undergoes a topological change. Drawing on a tradition that acknowledges the transformative quality of technology and its implications on information societies, the article frames the enquiry within the parameters of Martin Heidegger's and Gilles Deleuze's deliberations on the ways in which technology is brought to bear on the biopolitical imaginary of a population. The technological rationality that, according to Heidegger, has gripped the entire horizon of thought is opened up for interruption wherever technology fails. In these slippages emerge spaces in which a critique of society's faults may be advanced. This article proposes a critical reading of application surveillance with a view to the biopolitical and philosophical implications of overdetermined network structures against the backdrop of contagion-related phenomena.

With the patent on efavirenz due to expire a potential cost‐saving strategy is to switch HIV‐infected patients who are stable on Atripla® (tenofovir, emtricitabine & efavirenz) to a regimen of 2 pills once a day of generic efavirenz and co‐formulated tenofovir & emtricitabine. We assessed patients' willingness to switch and whether it would be perceived to affect their adherence to their antiretroviral (ARV) regimen and quality of life (QOL). Consecutive patients who had been prescribed Atripla® for at least 3 months were asked to anonymously complete a questionnaire detailing the number of pills they took and how many times a day they took them. They were asked about their willingness to switch for cost‐saving reasons and whether they perceived their adherence and QOL would change if they were to switch to 2 pills once a day. The questions were assessed using visual analogue scales with values from 0 to 10. Univariate and multivariable logistic regression models were employed to determine statistical difference. 143 patients completed questionnaires, mean age was 42.3 years and 121 (85%) were male. 57 (40%) were taking other regular medicines and 125 (88%) took their pills once a day. Patients' willingness to switch scored a median of 2 (0=not willing at all, 5=neutral, 10=very willing). Perceived change in adherence and QOL both scored a median of 5 (0=considerably worse, 5=stay the same, 10=better). No significant associations were found between patients' willingness to switch and age, gender, in those taking other regular medicines and in those taking their pills twice or more times a day. In those taking other regular medicines an increased willingness to switch was associated with increasing number of pills taken daily (p=0.037). Willingness to switch was significantly less likely in those who perceived poorer adherence (RR 0.20, p<0.001) and reduced QOL (RR 0.16, p<0.001). Adherence is key to viral load suppression and hence treatment success and what is essentially a lifelong treatment should maintain or even improve quality of life. These are critical factors to consider if switching strategies are to be implemented to reduce drug expenditure as strategies which could potentially lead to poorer adherence could result in treatment failure and counteractively increase drug costs by necessitating the use of more expensive 2nd‐ or 3rd‐line ARVs. It is therefore important to ensure patient involvement and address patient concerns in such strategies.

AbstractYoung children differ in their responses to failure, displaying mastery or helpless behavior patterns. We examine the moderating role of child temperament on the association between parent warmth/negativity and children's helpless responses to failure. Regarding temperament, we focus on tendencies to experience interest and sadness because they entail task engagement and withdrawal, respectively. We measured mother (n=150) expressions of positive and negative emotion during a teaching task, assessed temperament using LabTAB‐Preschool episodes, and coded helplessness during an impossible puzzle task. Maternal negative emotion during teaching was positively associated with helplessness, but only for children low in interest. Maternal warmth was negatively associated with helplessness, but only for children high in sadness; sadness did not moderate the relation between maternal negativity and helplessness. Findings provide support for parenting by temperament goodness‐of‐fit models and for a discrete emotions approach to temperament.

Although it is well recognized that environmental labeling certification (ELC) is becoming an increasingly important voluntary environmental regulation worldwide, the evidence regarding its role in environmental innovation remains unknown. This study examines the impact of ELC on corporate environmental innovation (CEI) from both external and internal perspectives via the combination of legitimacy theory and the resource management perspective. Based on panel data of listed Chinese manufacturing firms from 2008 to 2014, it is found that ELC improves CEI. However, this relationship is also regulated by two contextual factors: the positive impact of ELC on CEI is found to be stronger for non-state-owned enterprises (non-SOEs) than for state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and it is stronger for firms in regions with a low degree of local government intervention than for firms in regions with a high degree of local government intervention. This study makes important theoretical contributions and has extensive practical value.
