As a microcosm of society, colleges hold great potential for inviting young adults' stories of resistance and hope. This paper describes the application of collective narrative approaches in my work with students at St Mira's College for Girls, an undergraduate and postgraduate women's college in Pune, India. I sought to integrate narrative ideas into the existing mental wellbeing program by documenting and showcasing students' stories of mental health and wellbeing and their local knowledge about making the campus a safe place. The focus of this paper is on a collective suicide prevention project, which took place over four months in online and offline modes. This paper highlights students' analysis of suicide as a social problem and their unique ways of supporting others through difficult times. Narrative concepts such as enabling contribution, externalising problems and collective documents are demonstrated.

Depuis son indépendance en 1947, l'Inde s'est affirmée comme un acteur clé de la coopération Sud-Sud – une position enracinée dans la solidarité et l'anticolonialisme du Mouvement des non-alignés. L'auteure revient sur un cas particulier de cette coopération : les relations indo-sénégalaises. Un couple improbable à première vue, étant donné l'absence de liens coloniaux directs ou d'une diaspora indienne au Sénégal, mais qui illustre bien les évolutions politiques de ces deux pays et la montée en puissance des partenariats entre les pays émergents et ceux qui aspirent à ce statut. L'auteure analyse la place qu'ont prise ces deux pays dans les enceintes internationales depuis leur indépendance, étudie les changements diplomatiques et idéologiques survenus alors et s'attarde sur les conditions particulières qui les incitent, depuis quelque temps, à resserrer leur coopération.

Sustainable environmental performance linked with profitability has been one of the brimming concerns in the worldwide scenario. Therefore, the current study aimed to examine the impact of green banking practices on the firm's sustainable environmental performance. Further, the impact of sustainable environmental performance on firms' profitability was also measured. A survey-based research design was employed by collecting data from Private sector bank employees of India. The data analysis was performed on the selected private bank employees collected from August 2022 to November 2022 by employing the PLS-SEM method with the help of smartPLS software. The study found a significant positive relationship between bank environmental performance and profitability. Consequently, green banking policy significantly influences the day-to-day operation and funding or investment in green projects. Specifically, the study hypothesizes that green banking practices lead to improved operational efficiency, increased funding and investment in green projects, enhanced sustainable environmental performance, and improved profitability for private sector banks. The results of this study contributed to the existing literature on green banking practices and provided insights for policymakers, bank management, and other stakeholders interested in promoting sustainable banking practices.

In the field of electronic warfare (EW), one of the crucial roles of electronic intelligence is the identification of radar signals. In an operational environment, it is very essential to identify radar emitters whether friend or foe so that appropriate radar countermeasures can be taken against them. With the electromagnetic environment becoming increasingly complex and the diversity of signal features, radar emitter identification with high recognition accuracy has become a significantly challenging task. Traditional radar identification methods have shown some limitations in this complex electromagnetic scenario. Several radar classification and identification methods based on artificial neural networks have emerged with the emergence of artificial neural networks, notably deep learning approaches. Machine learning and deep learning algorithms are now frequently utilized to extract various types of information from radar signals more accurately and robustly. This paper illustrates the use of Deep Neural Networks (DNN) in radar applications for emitter classification and identification. Since deep learning approaches are capable of accurately classifying complicated patterns in radar signals, they have demonstrated significant promise for identifying radar emitters. By offering a thorough literature analysis of deep learning-based methodologies, the study intends to assist researchers and practitioners in better understanding the application of deep learning techniques to challenges related to the classification and identification of radar emitters. The study demonstrates that DNN can be used successfully in applications for radar classification and identification.

Background Socioeconomic experiences are recognized determinants of health, and recent work has shown that social disadvantages in early life may induce sustained biological changes at molecular level that are detectable later in life. However, the dynamics and persistence of biological embedding of socioeconomic position (SEP) remains vastly unexplored. Methods Using the data from the ALSPAC birth cohort, we performed epigenome-wide association studies of DNA methylation changes at three life stages (birth, n = 914; childhood at mean age 7.5 years, n = 973; and adolescence at mean age 15.5 years, n = 974), measured using the Illumina HumanMethylation450 Beadchip, in relation to pregnancy SEP indicators (maternal and paternal education and occupation). Results Across the four early life SEP metrics investigated, only maternal education was associated with methylation levels at birth, and four CpGs mapped to SULF1, GLB1L2 and RPUSD1 genes were identified [false discovery rate (FDR)-corrected P-value <0.05]. No epigenetic signature was found associated with maternal education in child samples, but methylation levels at 20 CpG loci were found significantly associated with maternal education in adolescence. Although no overlap was found between the differentially methylated CpG sites at different ages, we identified two CpG sites at birth and during adolescence which are 219 bp apart in the SULF1 gene that encodes an heparan sulphatase involved in modulation of signalling pathways. Using data from an independent birth cohort, the ENVIRONAGE cohort, we were not able to replicate these findings.
