The rise and fall of President Samuel K. Doe: a time to heal and rebuild Liberia
Der Autor ist Gründer und Anführer der Independent National Patriotic Front of Liberia (INPFL); ihm wird nachgesagt, Präsident Samuel K. Doe ermordet zu haben. (Der Autor behauptet, S. 88: "Unfortunately, Doe underwent torture by my men. … Doe committed suicide while in our custody.") Inzwischen ist er feuriger Evangelist und erklärt aus seiner Perspektive, warum es nach dem Putschversuch von General Thomas Quiwonkpa 1985 vier Jahre später zu Bürgerkrieg kam. Dabei zeichnet er nicht nur den Konfliktverlauf nach, ein wichtiger Aspekt ist das Verhalten externer Kräfte, namentlich der USA und der ECOMOG-Truppen.
