Vom "Vater" der Zürcher S-Bahn und jungen Professor, der die Informatik an der Universität Zürich einführte: Hans Künzi. Als Hans Künzi 1970 in den Zürcher Regierungsrat gewählt wurde, hatte er bereits eine glänzende Karriere als jüngster Professor an der Universität Zürich und auch an der ETH hinter sich. In seinem Spezialgebiet Operations Research initiierte er an der Universität Zürich das Rechenzentrum und propagierte die elektronische Datenverarbeitung. Während seinen 21 Jahren als Volkswirtschaftsdirektor, Regierungspräsident und Nationalrat wurde er zum "Vater" der Zürcher S-Bahn und es gelang ihm, das Verkehrsproblem im Kanton Zürich auf pionierhafte Weise zu lösen.
