The need to study the experience of political modernization in Kazakhstan is determined by the fact that the modern Russian Federation largely exhausted the inertial potential of the 1990s, trying to build a model of political modernization, which took into account the national (Russian), world (Western) and regional experience of political and social reforms. The aim of the study was to identify the features of political modernization in Kazakhstan. Based on this goal the following tasks were solved:• to define theoretical and methodological aspects of political modernization;• to identify the features of the study of political modernization in modern political science;• to study the basic concepts of political modernization and features of modernization processes in posttraditional societies. To implement the above goals and solve problems were used methods of discourse analysis. That is why the theoretical and methodological basis of the work is based on the methods developed in the framework of studies of political modernization.

The countries of the post-Soviet space are of particular importance for Russia's geopolitical interests. This primarily concerns the political and economic processes taking place in them. Moreover, of great importance are the approaches of the post-Soviet countries to cooperation with Russia and integration processes in the post-Soviet space. In view of significant negative trends in the international arena, the consolidation of the post-Soviet space is acquiring paramount significance. Numerous challenges and complexity of the tasks that Russia is facing in the present region underscore the need for a balanced, pragmatic and forward-looking approach in bilateral and multilateral relations with the states. The focus of Russian diplomacy is still on Ukraine, the countries of the South Caucasus and Central Asia, Moldova and Belarus. These countries are the priority partners of Russia, the priority of its foreign policy.

Current Global Agenda is inextricably linked with political campaigns, lobbyists, and official and opposition media that are constantly improving the ways to influence social processes. In the context of the intensifying competition, actors have to pay more and more attention to their own image in the international arena. The article considers the BRICS organization as a platform for interaction within the framework of the idea of moderate conservatism.BRICS is an important grouping bringing together the major emerging economies from the world. BRICS opens a space for dialogue, the identification of convergences and consultation regarding various topics, and expands contacts and cooperation in specific sectors. Events seeking the approximation between academics, activities for interested groups are increasingly organized as a pre-census practice. Such an media platform project would logically bring significant enhancements to confidence-building in the international sphere and serve the purpose of safeguarding the common information environment.

The Union State of Belarus and Russia is the oldest of the existing integration associations in the Eurasian space and, undoubtedly, is one of the foundations of the emerging architecture of Eurasian integration. During the period of its existence, the Union State has done a lot of work on the path of rapprochement of fraternal peoples, and even more ambitious tasks are to be implemented. This article examines the main problems of the Union construction, analyzes the key areas of cooperation between the member states of the Union State. The impressive advanced integration experience of the Union State in social, military-political, scientific-educational, as well as in a number of areas of the economic sphere can be used in the implementation of integration initiatives within other Eurasian regional associations and is extremely important and in demand precisely during the transition to multipolarity and the formation of the Eurasian center on the world stage. The Union State is a fraternal relationship proven over the years, built on mutual respect, attention to problems, joint achievements and the implementation of plans to mobilize common potential, guaranteed support in difficult periods without waiting for immediate returns. The benefits of such relations are achieved not only by scaling the market, conducting a coordinated foreign trade and technical policy, characteristic of the participants of "ordinary" economic associations. The predictability and trust inherent in fraternal friendship make it possible, for example, to lower individual thresholds for economic (and not only) security, since the reliable functioning of the economy is achieved together.

The development of Russian-Georgian relations is determined by both long-term factors and situational circumstances. The former include disagreements between the two countries over security in Transcaucasia: the status of Abkhazia and South Ossetia and the attitude toward NATO activity in the region. Another persistent factor concerns the debate over interaction with Russia in Georgia's domestic politics. These factors limit the possibilities for expanding bilateral ties. Situational constraints include such phenomena as the COVID-19 pandemic or the domestic political crisis in Georgia after the 2020 parliamentary elections. Taken together, the longterm and situational factors set the general tone for bilateral relations, which are characterized by predictability and low dynamics. Despite the existing limitations, Russian-Georgian cooperation holds promise in areas of trade and societal contacts.

In the shortlist of blueprint priority diseases of the World Health Organization for 2018, along with the famous and dangerous diseases, there is also a disease "X". This is a designation of a disease, which may arise due to mutations, and lead to a new epidemic. COVID-19 became such disease. The disease is characterized by a long incubation period, during which it is already contagious, and the possibility of an asymptomatic course. These factors, as well as the unpreparedness of countries, determined its success. The causative agent of the disease - SARSCoV-2 appeared in China at the end of 2019. China has taken a series of tough measures using the armed forces to defeat the epidemic. All this helped China to get out of the epidemic as soon as possible and realize the opportunities provided by the situation. In the CIS, the government of each state has chosen one of three models for resolving the issue. Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan went the Chinese way and took tough quarantine measures. Most states of the Commonwealth have begun to gradually introduce restrictions, which could then lead to the reintroduction of quarantine after a short break. Belarus, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan gave preference to economic development, and therefore humanitarian factors faded into the background. The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the level of health literacy of the population and the value of medical supplies. Many people became familiar with the online entertainment industry, which paved the way for new content producers. Together with the transition of people to remote work, this has increased the demand for Internet traffic. Thoughts on the automation of production and courier services arose in society. These technologies will make the transfer to a post-industrial society possible, and the country that introduced them will be able to claim the title of a major player in the international arena. The COVID-19 pandemic has opened up new possibilities for a trade war that will lead to a strengthening of the regionalization process. This may provide an incentive for the development of regional integration associations. "Belt and Road" project runs the risk of suffering trade barriers and Western attempts to get rid of Chinese dependence, which the pandemic has demonstrated. The US sanctions policy can lead to the creation of financial systems without them, which has the potential to shake the Bretton Woods system.
