Dieser Artikel analysiert Eveline Haslers historischen Roman Ibicaba: Das Paradies in den Köpfen (1985), in dem die Autorin die schweizerische Emigration nach Brasilien im neunzehnten Jahrhundert beleuchtet. Ibicaba wird als künstlerische Transformation eines historischen Stoffes interpretiert, mit der die Autorin zu sozio-psychologischen und philosophischen Reflexionen über Menschenrechte und Mobilität, zu einer postkolonialen Kritik der europäischen Siedlungen im Ausland sowie zum Aufruf zu einer Frauengeschichte der Emigration beiträgt und so nicht zuletzt auch zur Hinterfragung von Heimat- und Identitätskonstruktionen in unserer heutigen, globalisierten Welt einlädt. ; This article analyzes Eveline Hasler's historical novel Ibicaba: Das Paradies in den Köpfen (1985) as a commentary on the political debates on nineteenth-century emigration. Transforming historical facts into fiction, Ibicaba contains socio-psychological and philosophical reflections on human rights and mobility, a postcolonial critique of European settlements abroad, as well as a call for a women's history of migration. Moreover, this article interprets Hasler's novel as an invitation to question Heimat and identity constructions in today's globalized world. ; Este artículo analiza la novela histórica de Eveline Hasler Ibicaba: Das Paradies in den Köpfen (1985) como una reflexión sobre los debates políticos en torno a la emigración del siglo XIX. En su ficcionalización de los hechos históricos, Ibicaba contiene también reflexiones socio-psicológicas y filosóficas sobre los derechos humanos, una crítica poscolonial a los asentamientos europeos en el extranjero y una invitación para que se elabore una historia femenina de la migración. Este ensayo defiende que la novela de Hasler es una invitación a cuestionar el concepto de Heimat y otras construcciones identitarias en el mundo global de la actualidad.
