Viet Nam has been actively participating in the regional and global integration. It has created favorable conditions for Vietnamese workers to work everywhere. However, Vietnamese workers are facing certain limitations including foreign language proficiency, skills and knowledge of cultures of other countries, etc. In order to have Vietnamese people easily find jobs in foreign countries, international organizations and firms, the Government of Viet Nam need to give orientations and solutions to ensure the essential conditions for Vietnamese workers.
Based on a comprehensive database, the spatial and temporal trends of surface water quality of Berlin and the suroundings catchments of Spree, Dahme and Havel were detected. The transitional points in the course of nutrient development are due to the changes in water supply and drainage system, the sewage farms, the establishment of waste water treatment plants and their technological improvements, the legal and management system. The changes in nutrient removal capacity of sewage farms, technological improvements in waste water treatment plants and the nutrient-related legal requirements are the major driving forces for nutrient emission mitigation in Berlin. Due to intensive anthropogenic impacts, some surface water bodies in Berlin particularly in the Teltowkanal have quite different seasonal variations compared to the natural water bodies. The spatial differentiation of Berlin water bodies is predominantly determined by the inside factors (effluent of waste water treatment plants, overflow water, heat emission from power plants) and inflow waters. Overflow from combined sewer system is the dominant diffuse source in the inner city area. The upstream water quality also contributes to the differentiation in quality of Berlin waters. This study analyses nutrient emissions by point and diffuses sources and their loads were estimated for the city of Berlin and also for the subcatchment of Upper Havel, Spree and Dahme and the whole Havel catchment over the last 150 years by modelling approaches...

PurposeZalo is a Vietnam social media platform attracting over 100 m users worldwide. The work aims to ascertain how to boost users' satisfaction, habit and continuance intention toward Zalo based on the expectation confirmation theory (ECT) and its extension through the impacts of expected benefits and emotional motivations.Design/methodology/approachData are collected via an online survey on a convenience sample of 356 Zalo users. Statistical analysis is performed using Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) and Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) to test proposed hypotheses.FindingsResults indicate that confirmation positively influences expected benefits (i.e. pervasiveness, socialization, and self-discovery) and satisfaction. Moreover, satisfaction and habit are jointly stimulated by expected benefits and emotional motivations. Outcomes also reveal that satisfaction is a motivator of habit, which in turn surmises evidently to continuance intention.Practical implicationsFindings assist practitioners to develop their business trajectories by improving beneficial services of Zalo and positive emotions. This fulfills user satisfaction and habit, and promotes continuance behavior accordingly.Originality/valueConfirmation and expected benefits are acknowledged as the drivers of satisfaction, but existing literature remains inconclusive about dimensions of expected benefits influencing satisfaction and habit in social media. Furthermore, this study, by an extended ECT, explores emotional motivations for satisfaction and habit. Ultimately, habit is uncovered to foster prolonged usage.
The article on Cambodia, Laos and Vietname (CLV) sheds light on possible risks associated with developments in key macroeconomic fundamentals, the financial system and foreign exchange policies following the market-oriented reforms undertaken since the late 1980s. It shows that the market reforms have led to major changes in the CLV economies and contributed to fast economic growth and development in the 1990s and early 2000s. However, informed by the events related to the Asian crisis, they argue that the liberalisation process, if implemented imporperly, could involve risks. Key issues face the CLV countries: to different degees they still rely significantly on external resources to finance their investment-saving gaps; external trade has become a major driver of growth, but the downside is vulnerability to international trade shocks and disputes; and global recession. Domestically, these countries have been financially supported by weak banking systems that need further strengthening despite recent progress. They also face high levels of dollarisation, especially Cambodia and Laos, which can imply greater vulnerability to shocks. (IDS Bull/GIGA)
