The Siamese language: examples in Latin America ; El lenguaje siamés: ejemplos en América Latina
This paper aims to be a contribution to critical thinking on the relationship between literature and photography, based on the category "Siamese language" as a reading proposal to analyze the encounter of both artistic codes and its implications. In a political gesture, the reflections of several Latin American scholars are summoned: Julio Ramos, Carlos Rincón, Graciela Montaldo, Florencia Garramuño, trying both to systematize their contributions and to articulate them with the contemporary literary production of the region. In this sense, I will work with three novels by Latin American authors in a sort of cartographic project: El infarto del alma, Jacobo el mutante and donde, by Diamela Eltit (Chile), Mario Bellatin (Mexico) and Eduardo Lalo (Puerto Rico), respectively. ; Este trabajo pretende ser una contribución al pensamiento crítico sobre la relación entre literatura y fotografía, a partir de la categoría "lenguaje siamés" como propuesta de lectura para analizar el encuentro de ambos códigos artísticos y sus implicaciones.
