Two Library-Based Readathon Programs

A comprehensive reading program for planned activities fosters positive attitudes and motivation toward leisure reading among schoolchildren, including those who are blind or visually impaired. This article presents the author's experiences with two library-based readathons implemented at the Tennessee School for the Blind: an MS readathon and an in-house readathon especially developed by the author for her visually impaired students.
