Family and friendly groupings will be organised on the occasion of the end-of-year festivities, with the end of the year ending the national lockdown planned for 15 December 2020 by the Government. The HCSP analyses the health risk posed by these groups of people and summarises international recommendations before making recommendations on the measures to be applied in order to limit the risk of COVID-19 contamination in this context. In particular, it provides recommendations to be applied before, during and after family and/or friendly reunification, and provides precise advice on the behaviour to be adopted during group meals. This opinion aims to inform the health authorities in managing these events and in communicating preventive measures to the public. It is also aimed at the population and participants in these groupings looking for concrete measures to be applied in order to minimise their individual risk of infection and the risk of contaminating their immediate surroundings in order to address this festive period in a responsible and calm manner.
