AbstractCurrently, there are several effective means of dispute resolution that can be utilized to avoid costly and destructive litigation. Additionally, there is a good way to prepare attorneys, their clients, and individual disputants for their day before the mediator without, in effect, training them as mediators. This procedure is called mediation advocacy and can be utilized by any lawyer or law firm, agency, or disputant, or by anyone else who is about to enter into mediation or into other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Preparation is the key to prevailing.
