Knowledge management has been extensively studied in various fields such as strategic management, project management, and supply chain management. As a result, numerous measurements have been developed to measure knowledge management processes, strategies, capabilities, or activities. However, a review of existing measurement instruments from 17 studies demonstrates that those instruments vary greatly in the number of measurement items, ranging from 1 to 59, and that none of them, with one exception, covers all the nine distinct classes of knowledge management activities identified by the knowledge chain theory. This study aims at using the knowledge chain theory to measure knowledge management activities in supply chain management. As a starting point, our instrument begins with the nine classes of knowledge chain activities, including knowledge acquisition, selection, generation, assimilation, emission, measurement, control, coordination, and leadership. This new instrument is tested via an online survey of 156 supply chain professionals in the United States. Evidence of construct validity and reliability is provided by both exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. Both theoretical and practical contributions are also discussed.

The purpose of this study is to identify the different strategies employed by micro- enterprises supporting by the government funding with different developmental stage of industrial life cycles. This paper used a multiple-cases study method and selected 48 cases micro-enterprises to analyse the developmental phases of these firms. From the results, we find that micro-enterprises tend to need government guidance in five respects at their different growth stages: product packaging, design and promotion; introduction of external resources; commercial community operation; new products/services delivery; and objective-oriented marketing.

The aims of this study were to identify how governmental technology development program (TDP) improves the service value in service firms and to investigate how service firms construct value constellations through relationships with other firms. A multiple cases study research is conducted, focusing on the Taiwan's service firms. The research main findings are: (1) ICTs enhance service value through six key factors: data envelopment analysis for customers; creating switching costs for industry entry barriers; integrating resources among the value constellation members and elevating productivity; improving internal and external communication for the organization; organizing activities, quick responses to customer needs and strengthening customer relationships; and identifying new members for the value constellation. (2) We categorised the service value enhancement of TDP firms into three types: internal operation improvements, industrial network enhancements; and transactional relations. Internal operation improvements primarily involved creating value within a TDP firm.

Die vorliegende Arbeit befasst sich mit der Bedeutung des § 2 Abs. 1 BetrVG für die Reichweite und die Grenzen der Mitbestimmung des Betriebsrates nach § 87 BetrVG. Ebenso wie im BetrVG 1952 bildet auch im BetrVG 1972 und im BetrVG 2001 der vierte Teil mit den Regelungen über die Mitwirkung und Mitbestimmung der Arbeitnehmer das eigentliche Kernstück des Gesetzes. Zentralvorschrift für die Mitbestimmung des Betriebsrats in sozialen Angelegenheiten ist dabei § 87 BetrVG. Diese Regelung umfasst alle Arbeitsbedingungen, die nicht schon gesetzlich oder tariflich geregelt sind, anderseits aber oft nur einheitlich für alle Arbeitnehmer im Betrieb geregelt werden können. Soweit die Tatbestandsvoraussetzungen der einzelnen Gegenstände in § 87 Abs. 1 Nr. 1 bis Nr. 13 BetrVG erfüllt sind, hat der Betriebsrat eine umfassende funktionelle Zuständigkeit zur Mitbestimmung in sämtlichen sozialen Angelegenheiten. Aufgabe der vorliegenden Arbeit soll es daher sein, Rechtsnatur, Struktur und Anwendungsbereich des Gebots der vertrauensvollen Zusammenarbeit und der Mitbestimmungsrechte gem. § 87 BetrVG zu klären. Hier ist insbesondere zu erörtern, ob Mitbestimmungsrechte des Betriebsrats gem. § 87 Abs. 1 BetrVG außerhalb des Katalogs der gesetzlichen Vorschriften aus dem Grundsatz der vertrauensvollen Zusammenarbeit herzuleiten sind. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt liegt in der Herausarbeitung der Korrektur- und Schrankenfunktion des § 2 Abs. 1 BetrVG im Bereich der Mitbestimmung nach § 87 Abs. 1 BetrVG

This study uses satellite imagery and geospatial data to examine the impact of floods over the main planting areas for double-cropping rice and grain crops in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. During summer 2020, a long-lasting 62-day heavy rainfall caused record-breaking floods over large areas of China, especially the Yangtze basin. Through close examination of Sentinel-1/2 satellite imagery and Copernicus Global Land Cover, between July and August 2020, the inundation area reached 21,941 and 23,063 km2, and the crop-affected area reached 11,649 and 11,346 km2, respectively. We estimated that approximately 4.66 million metric tons of grain crops were seriously affected in these two months. While the PRC government denied that food security existed, the number of Grains and Feeds imported from the U.S. between January to July 2021 increased by 316%. This study shows that with modern remote sensing techniques, stakeholders can obtain critical estimates of large-scale disaster events much earlier than other indicators, such as disaster field surveys or crop price statistics. Potential use could include but is not limited to monitoring floods and land use coverage changes.
