Helen Keller: A Remembrance
In: Journal of visual impairment & blindness: JVIB, Band 74, Heft 5, S. 169-174
ISSN: 1559-1476
Berthold Lowenfeld, well-known educator and author in the field of work with the blind, knew Helen Keller for many years. In this centennial year of her birth, he recalls times he spent with her, including her visit to the California School for the Blind, where he was superintendent, for the consecration of the Helen Keller Building. In quoting from letters she wrote to him, Dr. Lowenfeld allows Helen Keller's intelligence, thoughtfulness, compassion, dynamism, curiosity, and alertness to speak for themselves.
