Probleme der Umschulung von Arbeitskräften in Wirtschaftszweigen und
Regionen mit besonderen Strukturproblemen. Befragt wurden Umschüler
sowie eine Vergleichsgruppe zu ihrer beruflichen Situation und deren
weitere Entwicklung.
Themen: Ausbildungsgang; Teilnahme an Weiterbildungsveranstaltungen
nach der Schule; Gründe für die Berufswahl; Zufriedenheit mit der Wahl
des Berufs; Arbeitszufriedenheit und Betriebszufriedenheit; Einschätzung
der wirtschaftlichen Situation in der Region sowie des Betriebes;
Einschätzung der Arbeitsplatzsicherheit und des allgemeinen Problems der
Arbeitslosigkeit; eigene Maßnahmen zum Schutz vor Arbeitslosigkeit;
Verhalten bei Arbeitsplatzverlust; Arbeitsplatzmobilität; Informiertheit
über das Arbeitsförderungsgesetz; Einstellung zur Umschulung und
erwartete Schwierigkeiten; Einstellung zur Weiterbildung im
Erwachsenenalter; Einschätzung der eigenen Fähigkeiten, einen neuen
Beruf zu erlernen; Erwartungen an einen neuen Beruf; Einstellung zur
Gesellschaft und Beurteilung der Chancengleichheit im Beruf;
Einschätzung der Gleichberechtigung von Mann und Frau; benachteiligte

Bei Umschülern wurde zusätzlich erfragt: Entschluß und Gründe, die zur
Umschulung führten; Einschätzung der Lernsituation; Leistungskontrolle
und Leistungserwartungen während der Umschulung; Erfahrungen mit dem
Arbeitsamt; finanzielle Situation während der Umschulung; perzipierte
Berufsaussichten nach der Umschulung; Auswahlkriterien für den neuen
Arbeitsplatz; Einstellung zur Mitbestimmung bei der Ausbildung;
Veränderung des Familienlebens durch die Umschulung.
Bei Selbständigen und Landwirten: Bedeutung der Selbständigkeit.
Demographie: Familienstand; Kinderzahl; Konfession; Schulbildung;
Berufsausbildung; Einkommen; Parteimitgliedschaft; soziale Herkunft;
Ortsgröße; Mitgliedschaft in einer Gewerkschaft.
