Ethnic identity has long been a contested issue in Kalimantan, the home island of the Dayak in Indonesia. This paper draws on fieldwork in a Dayak Murung village to trace the evolution of Dayak ethnic identity – understood as a process of transformation through encounter – in response to successive waves of territorialisation for the purposes of resource extraction, as occurring from the Dutch colonial period to the present day. I use the concept of 'frontier assemblages' to explore the process of transforming 'wilderness' to extractive landscapes and simplifying the meaning and value within the space. In the frontier landscape, encounters with the globalised commodity economy, state territorialisation, colonial and state-imposed changes to religious beliefs and practices, and changing riverine landscapes are all reconfiguring Dayak Murung identities and undermining their traditional cosmology. Political decentralisation – which had seemed to offer a way forwards for a broader-based ethnic political mobilisation around the key issue of access to resources – is used by the Dayak elite to consolidate their power. Using feminist Political Ecology, the paper uncovers the complex interplay of power relations between state actors, the extractive companies and local elites. Therewith it explores the intersectionality of Dayak Murung everyday resistance, especially how those concerned contest and subvert the dominant extractivist powers. (Asien/GIGA)

The intent ofthe majority of respondents travel to work is 74.06%. This situation illustrates that the mobility ofpeople and vehicles in Jakarta is ven; high with the distance far enough (from outside DKI Jakarta).To anticipate this condition, it is rerommended for mass transportation development not only in thecities of Jakarta, but also connects surrounding towns like Bogar, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi.

This paper explores ethical issues of reciprocity, reflexivity and situatedness in conducting ethnographic fieldwork in the Global South as part of PhD research projects. Against the backdrop of increasingly bureaucratised doctoral processes, we argue that PhD students occupy a particular terrain that involves continuous navigation of tensions between institutionally-required ethical procedures and 'situational' ethical processes in the field. We illustrate these tensions by analysing reflections on our experiences of conducting fieldwork in Indonesia, India and the Philippines. Guided by decolonial and feminist thought highlighting the politics of knowledge (co)production, this paper unpacks the problems of insider-outsider binaries and standardised ethical procedures, and explores the possibilities of ethics as visible, collaborative negotiation.

BUMDes Makmur Anugerah Lestari is located in Sukamakmur Village, Ciomas District, Bogor Regency. BUMDes Makmur Anugerah Lestari is currently still facing problems such as; first, the manager's lack of understanding in the separation of duties and authorities in each operational activity at BUMDes. Second, the managers are not ready to carry out the process of good organizational governance such as the preparation of accountability reports, especially financial reports where the management of transaction document archiving has not been carried out optimally, reporting users who have not been on target, and the lack of competence of human resources who handle the accounting process at BUMDes. One solution that can be done is to educate interested parties in the BUMDes organizational governance process, such as conducting training and mentoring. The target output of community service (PkM) at BUMDes Makmur Anugerah Lestari is the realization of good governance in the BUMDes organization with competent managers where they are able to compile financial reports.

Renaming the chair of "Comparative development and Cultural studies with a focus on Southeast Asia" to "Critical Development Studies—Southeast Asia" is the outcome of an intense intellectual, political and yet intimate process over the last three years. In autumn 2019 a group of international students from the MA Development Studies program reported the shock of experiencing racism in study groups and when looking for shared housing. While confined to online teaching, during class one student found the courage to share their experience of a racist incident on public transport in Passau, the perpetrator humiliating him before vanishing into anonymity.These distressing and painful aggressions urged us to start reflecting on our responsibilities and capabilities, as a chair at the university, to act upon discrimination and racism which still permeate higher education, and the field we teach - development practice. During regular research labs over the last year, we read and discussed texts and debates from critical theory and perspectives from fields such as feminist political ecology (FPE), post-development, decolonial theory and new area studies. This process of learning, unlearning and relearning built up to this minifesto. Following Kallis (2018), we call this a minifesto because unlike a manifesto, which would present our grand theory or idea, we present here a collection of small but significant ideas. We believe these ideas and the commitment to pluralism will help shape the teaching practice and learning environment at the chair.

PT. Bumitama Gunajaya Agro is a palm oil company that is committed to and contributes to sustainable economic development and conservation to help social forestry in Sembelangaan Village Forest. This partnership pattern can be an example of social forestry management that is expected by the Indonesia Government, namely multi-party support.The research methodology uses a method to assess biodiversity created by HCVF Network and WWF (https://hcvnetwork.org/library/forest-integrity-assessment-tool/). This method was created by USAID LESTARI with Michigan State University USA. The results showed that of the 17 plots with a sampling intensity of 0.02 it is known that the average value of forest usefulness for the community is 27.24 categorized as forests is a mostly healthy forest. Habitat conditions include 10 wetlands, 16 streams, 4 seasonal flood forests, 6 natural wetlands, 17 springs, 8 burned grasslands, 11 partially slope topography, wildlife habitat, 1 cave, 7 waterfalls, 4 open pandan expanses and 12 large trees only in the field. Rare animals encountered 3 red gibbon, 1 marble cat, 9 birds, 10 eagles, 6 owls, 10 wild boar, 9 deer. The encounter in the form of 23 footprints, 36 heard the animals sound, 16 saw live animals, there were 7 nests, feathers and feces.Sembelangaan Forest provides 41 species of faunal flora that are directly beneficial to the community and 9 flora and habitats that benefit local culture and wisdom. These potentials can be developed for activities in Sembelangaan Village Forest that can be done together with PT BGA in forest conservation and improving community welfare
