In: Ciencias económicas, Band 2, S. 43-60
ISSN: 2362-552X
In: Asparkía. Investigació feminista, Heft 38, S. 149-169
ISSN: 2340-4795
In this paper, I will outline some approaches to the methodological perspective that we have been producing in the "Colectivo Co-construcción". Descriptions, analysis and reflections born from situated experiences in the cities of Concordia and Bariloche (Argentina) will be tied in the text. Notions of "procedure" and "situation" will be crucial in the argumentations. The emphasis will be methodological, but the effort will be to identify the political, epistemological and theoretical aspects that are at stake in those definitions ; Fil: Martínez, Virginia Soledad.
; [EN] The First Carlist War (1833-1840), also known as the Seven Years' War, is a reference point for Spanish military neuroballistic heritage. In much of the disputed territories, many pre-existing fortifications became a point of support and target for combatants. The peculiar features of the war, especially in the area of the Maestrazgo, allow us to talk about the implementation of the old tactics of guerrilla warfare and the difficulty in mobilizing large potential gunners facilitates the ...

In the second half of the 18th century an intense theoretical conflict was lived in Cartagena in order to conclude its fortification. The theoretical international debate offered different alternatives. The infallible French theories had been put in interdiction in the national area after the recovery of nationalistic character. At the same time the engineers were continuing the traditional debate between the theory and the military practice. The theoretical considerations were added to political interests inside the Corps of Engineers and to the frictions between different authorities in the local area. The final tracing of the fortification was the result of this situation. The reality of the fortification of Cartagena at the end of the 18th century only can be understood from the theoretical and social influences in the design moment, in the administrative decisions and in the constructive process. The present contribution is the result of diverse investigations related to the world of the modern and contemporary fortification completed by the authors until 2004, specially in Cartagena, one of the most interesting laboratories of the fortification in Spain.

Cultura e identidad. A theoretical and epistemological analysis for the understanding of contemporaneity
; This article presents some considerations about the concepts of Culture and Identity which have historically aroused a heated debate in the studies of culture and cultural studies field. From the theoretical and political perspectives, both terms have been used interchangeably. This created the need of reviewing the various theoretical perspectives currently used. A discussion of mutual negation developed among those who support the most radical essencialism and those who adopt a subjetivism-based position, bringing the debate to a standstill. As a result, the different approaches were not solid enough to address such concepts. In order to understand the complex contemporary world, the interpretation frames of the concepts are associated with the ideas of power, inequality, heterogenity, historicity and conflict, which generates new discussions that had been so far disregarded. Therefore, this piece of work is intended to organize the complex range of perspectives related to this concepts by considering different insights and contributions from several authors. One of the most remarkable theoretical diagrams is the one provided by Alejandro Grimson in Los Límites de la Cultura (The Limits of Culture) in which the author establishes new conceptualizations to account for the complex social structures of the contemporary world. ; Fil: Rivero, Patricia Jimena.
; Guimaraens Igual, G.; Noguera Giménez, JF.; Navalón Martínez, V. Identification and biochemical evidence of a medium-chain-length polyhydroxyalkanoate depolymerase in the Bdellovibrio bacteriovorus predatory hydrolytic Arsenal
The obligate predator Bdellovibrio bacteriovorus HD100 shows a large set of proteases and other hydrolases as part of its hydrolytic arsenal needed for its predatory life cycle. We present genetic and biochemical evidence that open reading frame (ORF) Bd3709 of B. bacteriovorus HD100 encodes a novel medium-chain-length polyhydroxyalkanoate (mcl-PHA) depolymerase (PhaZ Bd). The primary structure of PhaZ Bd suggests that this enzyme belongs to the α/β-hydrolase fold family and has a typical serine hydrolase catalytic triad (serine-histidine-aspartic acid) in agreement with other PHA depolymerases and lipases. PhaZ Bd has been extracellularly produced using different hypersecretor Tol-pal mutants of Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas putida as recombinant hosts. The recombinant PhaZ Bd has been characterized, and its biochemical properties have been compared to those of other PHA depolymerases. The enzyme behaves as a serine hydrolase that is inhibited by phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride. It is also affected by the reducing agent dithiothreitol and nonionic detergents like Tween 80. PhaZ Bd is an endoexohydrolase that cleaves both large and small PHA molecules, producing mainly dimers but also monomers and trimers. The enzyme specifically degrades mcl-PHA and is inactive toward short-chain-length polyhydroxyalkanoates (scl-PHA) like polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB). These studies shed light on the potentiality of these predators as sources of new biocatalysts, such as an mcl-PHA depolymerase, for the production of enantiopure hydroxyalkanoic acids and oligomers as building blocks for the synthesis of biobased polymers. ; This work was supported by the Ministry of Economía y Competitividad (BIO2007-67304, BIO2010-21049, CSD2007-00005; CISC 201120E050) and by European Union Grants (NMP2-CT-2007-026515). ; Peer Reviewed
