The national daily press, which has been a reference up to now, has to face economic difficulties, manifested and aggravated by the emergence of new journalistic models, such as the free daily press and the on-line citizen press. This reconfiguration of the media landscape raises economic questions for newspaper companies, but also democratic ones for citizens. The aim of this study is to understand the way these three types of press function. The national daily press, first, is based on a balanced adaptation to both readers and advertisers. The free daily press, then, is focused on the conception of an industrialised product exclusively financed by advertisers. At last, the on-line citizen press proposes an editorial alternative to a daily press, which they consider to be faltering. Through the notions of "media system", "communication contract" and "frames" that govern the understanding of the social world, the stake of this work is to analyse the interdependence between the conditions in which journalistic discourse is produced, its linguistic forms and the way its message may be grasped by press readers. Applied to the discourse on energetic resources (the rise of the oil price and the law called "carbon tax"), this study is essentially comparative. The study seeks to identify, in the publication stream and in the circulation of a new one, the elements of convergence and recovery, or, on the contrary, the creativity and singularisation of the various types of news sites (online media, infomedaries, native internet sites and blogs) from the publication on 8 March 2011 of articles on a poll giving Marine Le Pen the top of the voting intentions for the 2012 presidential election. The article essentially serves two purposes. The first is to identify the volume of production of information on the subject in the various sites, taking into account the circulation of the new one in its diachronic dimension. The second is to identify certain standards in the production of the various sites, by studying sources and signatures, visual treatment and the use of hyperlinks. The results show lines of convergence and divergence between the different categories of sites: productivity strategies and standardised recovery of information vs singularity, re-processing of information and promotion of a relational network. ; International audience This article consists in a multi-methodological study of online news landscape, which is part of a research project called Internet Pluralism and Redundancy of Information. The Media and Public Opinion - Theoretical and Methodological Analysis of the Debate on National Identity: This article deals with the "great debate on national identity" initiated by the Ministry of Immigration, Integration, National Identity and Mutually-Supportive Development in the winter of 2009-2010. Using the theory of framing (Bateson, 1972; Entman, 1993; Chong and Druckman, 2007 ), it seeks to identify the relationship between permeability and public debate as it is shown on the Web and the media coverage of the latter. To do this, a crossed lexicometric analysis of two corpora was done: on one hand, the 18,240 contributions posted on the dedicated ministerial site; on the other, the 1,436 press articles published from 25 October to 2 December 2009. A descending hierarchical classification was done with the Iramuteq software and identified, by their lexicon, places of permeability between personal and media frameworks in the apprehension of the debate, but also the specific universes of discourse to one or other corpora. We present them here in a detailed manner while proposing explanatory approaches of their dynamics.

The multiplicity of news available on the web is frequently presented as a positive factor leading to pluralism. The web is expected to offer a wider range of content than offline media, as the Long Tail theory more largely suggests. But such an assumption has to be proved by empirical evidence. The research presented in this article aims at testing this hypothesis through a transdisciplinary quantitative study based on a sample of several thousands of articles drawn from different categories of French-speaking websites. In fact, the editorial identification of topical issues and the lexicometric analysis of the headlines both suggest a more complex situation. The spectrum of issues that websites deal with is simultaneously characterized by diversity as well as high concentration on a few major and redundant issues. These results highlight the necessity to question the ideal of pluralism that the web is supposed to embody.

Les éditeurs de vidéo à la demande (VàD) pâtissent aujourd'hui d'inégalités en matière de visibilité : l'offre paraît confuse, expérimentale et toujours en construction. Notre contribution propose d'approcher des dynamiques socioéconomiques complexes en identifiant les publics modèles construits dans l'offre de VàD. Notre hypothèse est que les acteurs de la VàD, dans leur ensemble, mais de façon différenciée, construisent leur stratégie d'offre en s'inspirant de façon originale des caractéristiques que prennent les pratiques de consommation dans différents champs culturels tels que : la culture numérique, la culture cinéphile et la culture télévisuelle. Nous examinons la façon dont les acteurs, à travers les 97 services que nous avons référencés en 2019 en France, envisagent leurs publics modèles par le choix d'une ligne éditoriale, leur filière de provenance et certaines composantes de leur modèle d'affaires. In fine, le croisement de ces critères conduit à proposer une typologie de services de VàD selon huit configurations émergeant des stratégies développées.

This article analyses Internet users' participation and the ways in which it is framed by journalists, with a particular focus on the Live Blog format. It provides a case study of the online media coverage of Dominique Strauss-Kahn's arrest in New York in May 2011, by the highly respected media Le Monde.fr. A lexicometric (statistical) and discourse (qualitative) analysis of two sets of corpora (Corpus 1 being composed of all the comments submitted by Internet users throughout the live blogging process and Corpus 2 of the few which were finally published on the Live Blog) will highlight the nature and the various forms of audience participation as well as the ways in which they are framed by journalists. The article aims to investigate the representativeness of the published messages and the participative audience profile which journalists foreground within this media space of multiple voices.
