Cet article a pour but d'étudier la relation entre la consommation de l'énergie renouvelable et la croissance économique pour 34 pays de l'OCDE sur la période 1990-2014. A l'aide de techniques récentes de données en panel, les résultats montrent que l'augmentation du PIB réel a un effet positif et significatif sur la consommation d'énergie renouvelable et non renouvelable (et vice versa) seulement à long terme. A court terme, les impacts diffèrent selon lasource d'énergie (énergie provenant de sources renouvelables ou non renouvelables). A court terme, les résultats montrent une causalité bidirectionnelle entre la consommation d'énergie provenant des sources non renouvelables et la croissance du PIB. Les sources renouvelables sont influencées négativement par une augmentation de la croissance économique dans les sous-échantillons de l'OCDE. Dans l'ensemble, les résultats valident l'hypothèse de feedback pour les sources d'énergie non-renouvelables à court et à long terme. En ce qui concerne la consommation d'énergie renouvelable, les résultats valident l'hypothèse de conservation pour le court terme et l'hypothèse de feed-back à long terme. Ces résultats montrent que les politiques économiques devraient aborder simultanément la croissance économique et l'expansion du secteur des énergies renouvelables en finançant des investissements en R & D dans des technologies renouvelables prometteuses, en développant un réseau d'infrastructure connexe pour rendre les énergies renouvelables plus compétitives que les combustibles fossiles et en favorisant, en même temps, la coopération régionale et l'efficacité énergétique entre les pays.

Cet article étudie la dynamique des relations causales existant entre le marché obligataire et la croissance économique dans le cas des pays de l'UE (16 pays de l'UEM et 10 pays non-membres de l'UEM). Pour répondre à cette question, nous considérons différents modèles vectoriel à correction d'erreurs (VECM) en panel. Nous estimons les modèles en s'appuyant sur des données trimestrielles sur la période 2002-2012. Nos résultats mettent en évidence une relation de causalité réciproque seulement de long-terme entre la finance et la croissance économique quelque soit le niveau du revenu du pays. Cependant, nous remarquons que l'intensité du lien de la finance (via le marché obligataire) vers la croissance économique est plus forte que celle de la croissance vers la finance dans le cas de tous les pays de l'échantillon. Nos résultats sont robustes à travers différentes spécifications, modèles économétriques et périodes choisies.

This thesis concerns the integration of the eight CEEC's (Central and Eastern European Countries) in the Monetary Union. Rather than to analyse the institutional criteria of convergence which are officially apply by the European Institutions, it carries out an economic and econometric analysis related on macroeconomic mechanisms of these economies. Chapter one studies the co-movements of real and monetary variables and also the convergence of the movements of these two categories of variables between the former members and the news members of the UE. Chapter 2 and 3 are related to the transmission channels of the monetary policy. We emphasize that the transmission mechanisms of monetary policy depend on the exchange rate regimes of these countries. Chapter 4 proposes an empirical study about the impact of the contagion effect on the credibility of the CEEC'S currencies during the monetary crises between 1996-2001. The effect of contagion appears as an essential factor in the determination of the rate of exchange. Finally, chapter 5 estimate a possible nature of anticipations of the exchange rate of zloty/euro and zloty/dollar. We emphasize the adaptive nature of anticipations of the exchange rate only for the parity zloty/euro and evoke some possible tracks of research. ; Cette thèse se place dans la perspective de l'intégration des huit PECO (pays d'Europe Centrale et Orientale) dans la monnaie unique européenne. Il met en évidence la nature adaptative des anticipations du taux de change seulement pour la parité zloty/euro et évoque au final quelques pistes de recherche possibles.

This unprecedented crisis started in mid-2007 had a huge impact on the European government bond market. But, what are the main drivers of this "perfect storm" that since 2009 affects EU government bond market as well? To answer this question, we propose an empirical study of the determinants of the sovereign bond spreads of EU countries with respect to Germany during the period 2003-2010. Technically, we address two main questions. First, we ask what share of the change in sovereign bond spreads is explained by changes in the fundamentals, liquidity and market risks. Second, we distinguish between EU member states within and outside the Euro area and question whether long-term determinants of spreads affect EU members uniformly. To these ends, we employ panel data techniques in a regression model where spreads to Germany (with virtually no default risk) are explained by set of traditional variables and a number of policy variables. Results reveal that large fiscal deficits and public debt as well as political risks and to a lesser extent the liquidity are likely to put substantial upward pressures on sovereign bond yields in many advanced European economies. ; Dans cet article, nous étudions empiriquement les déterminants des spreads des obligations souveraines des pays de l'UE vis-à-vis de l'Allemagne entre 2003-2010. Deuxièmement, nous distinguons entre les pays membres et non-membres de l'UEM pour voir si les déterminants des spreads affectent les membres de l'UE uniformément. À cet effet, nous employons des techniques de panel dans un modèle où les spreads par rapport à l'Allemagne (exempte de risque de défaut) sont expliqués par un ensemble de variables traditionnelles et institutionnelles.
