Purpose. In this study, a model is developed for making purchasing decisions by consumers on the travel agency market.

Method. Research on the purchasing process by tourists was carried out applying the diagnostic survey method. Making efforts to ensure that research on the behaviour of consumers regarding tourist services and determinants concerning participation of Polish society in tourism are characterised by reliability, the selection of the sample was purpose-specific, while the control variables were region, gender, type of residence (city, village) and age. The community structure was determined as 0.01% of the entire Polish population (precisely, 3,071 persons). Data from the surveys were developed in the Statistica 13.3 program using the logistic regression model.

Findings. Prior travel traditions, fashion and desire to rest influence the need to travel. Stimulating the need for travel is necessary to start the purchasing process by a potential consumer of tourist services. When choosing a travel agency, potential tourists are mainly guided by a wide range of tourist services catalogues, the number and attractiveness of last-minute offers, as well as trip safety. However, to attract loyal customers, a travel agency should primarily take care of after-sales contact, send birthday and holiday wishes to its clients, efficiently respond to all types of queries, and quickly and reliably respond to complaints. They should also make sure the website of their travel agency is interesting.

Research and conclusions limitations. The characteristics of the participants constitute a limitation, as they all come from Poland. Therefore, future research must replicate this study with residents from other geographical and cultural contexts to generalise the present findings to Europe. According to some researchers, using multiple regression analysis and null hypothesis significance testing is not an appropriate scientific practice. Better results are presumed to be obtained by using asymmetric case outcome modelling.

Practical implications. The research results may be helpful for travel agency executives and other tourism entrepreneurs. Knowing the factors that influence the choice of a travel agency and the correct after-sales contact with the tourist will help tour operators gain regular customers.

Originality. The innovativeness of the work concerns developing a new graphic model of tourist behaviour on the travel agency market. To indicate the determinants of travel, factors influencing the purchase process and the choice of travel agencies, and how the post-sale contact between tour operators and tourists should be conducted.

Type of paper. In the article, the results of empirical research are presented, based on which the theoretical model of tourist behaviour on the travel agency market was created.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to present the impact of the most important price formation determinants on the development of air transport. Design/Methodology/Approach: Research on the factors determining the price strategy of carriers is based on available literature, documents developed by IATA and the Civil Aviation Authority, materials of companies constructing Airbus and Boeing aircraft as well as on own empirical research. Findings: The empirical research carried out indicates the crucial importance of quality and price in creating the unique services and added value. The pursuit of strategic policy consists in defining the company's directional goals and areas of its operation, as well as determining the principles of efficiency of allocation and use of assets. It is also necessary to develop the market rules for the price-making process in the management system and specify ways of behaving in crisis situations. Practical implications: The key factor determining the competitive advantage of service providers are modern methods of price formation and improving the quality of services. Data can be compared with other countries. Originality/Value: Since the choice of strategy appropriate for a given enterprise depends on its material situation, assets, management and relations with the environment, in which it operates, in particular the position it occupies on the market, the present study gives an insight in the determination of price formation in a unique way able to be adopted by the air transport industry taking into consideration all aspects mentioned above. ; peer-reviewed

The aim of the study was to identify the activities of the tourism sector which in the opinion of residents protect the natural environment of Lubelskie Voivodship. Efforts were also made to determine which activities have the greatest impact on the selection of accommodation by respondents and whether hotels fulfill the concept of sustainable social development. The size of the selected sample was 1157 respondents. The method of diagnostic survey was applied, and a direct survey was the technique, both conducted on the basis of an original questionnaire. Statistical calculations were performed using discriminant analysis and the level of education was the criterion for grouping. It has been shown that the following factors were the most important when choosing accommodation: cost-effective energy policy, including good insulation of the hotel building where respondents would stay, and a proper water management policy by the hotel company. Environmental protection was mentioned with activities that have the greatest impact on the natural environment. It has been found that it is necessary to use experiences of other countries in pursuing appropriate policies for sustainable development of a society, to monitor these policies, and to use devices which would limit the destruction of valuable and expensive resources. Both residents and organizations acting over a given area should be involved in the protection of natural resources.

This paper presents the opinions of residents of Lubelskie Voivodship on Corporate Social Responsibility of entrepreneurs operating within the Lublin region. The aim is to specify which actions performed by companies have the greatest influence on the perception of the company as being socially responsible as well as which factors determine the choice of employer. It has been shown that the most important activities that positively identify the employer as socially responsible are good treatment of employees, protection of the environment and provision of jobs in the local community. While choosing a new job, respondents take into consideration the honesty of the employer and the perspective for employee development through participation in training and courses. Also significant, however not as much as these, are: the company's brand, environmental responsibility and a good corporate image. It has been shown that respondents from Lubelskie Voivodship have low awareness of ISO 26000 standards, which is related to the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility.

Purpose: The purpose of the article is to demonstrate the impact of the most important determinants on the selection of the best quality variant of the air service level, depending on the proposed price, standard, comfort, service quality, loyalty, scope of additional services and other criteria. Design/Methodology/Approach: Research on the determinants governing the choice of the air travel segment is based on available literature, statistical documentation, IATA and ULC, Airbus and Boeing, and mainly based on own empirical research. The tests carried out using the diagnostic survey method included two comparable periods in 2011 and 2018. They were carried out on a group of 321 passengers, who started their journey at Katowice-Pyrzowice, Kraków-Balice, Rzeszów-Jasionka and Lublin-Świdnik airports. Findings: The undertaken research based on own empirical study demonstrates the decisive importance of quality in creating the unique services and added value. The effectiveness of reasons determining the passengers' movements between traditional and low-cost carriers, was also demonstrated as a result of the improvement of consumer service in internal, intersegmental and inter-branch conditions of competition. Practical Implications: The key determinant of obtaining a competitive market advantage by service providers is the improvement of passenger service quality at the departure port, on the aircraft and at the destination port. The skill and effectiveness of this dominant use is demonstrated by the level of elimination of unfavorable features of the service already in the design phase, the dimension of the outflow of loyal passengers to competitors, the number of new increments and the expansion of loyal customers, which is expressed in a synthetic way by the increase in purchases. Purpose: The aim of the conducted research was to systematize the interdependencies existing on the market of air services and to identify the stimulators concerning models of sustainable development on this basis. . Design/Methodology/Approach: Research on the determinants governing the choice of the air travel segment is based on available literature, analysis and statistical documentation of the air transport market for the years 2003-2017. The following hypothesis was adopted: possibility of survival and development of passenger air transport companies on the market, in the conditions of globalization, is attributed only to those entities that are able to construct an effective strategy of competing and improving economic efficiency. Findings: The search for effective solutions to this problem on the passenger air transport markets required active participation in complex structures of mutual connections as a result of dynamic variability of relations between its participants. Practical Implications: The anticipated effect of this process will be creation of a new transport segment, in which the most effective and the most attractive elements of consumer service, which was defined as the central segment, will be developed. Increasing intensity of market competition leads to the intensification of the process of mutual adaptation of innovations and the best solutions existing on the market by some entities, as a result of which the differences in consumer service and changes in the structure of the sector are evened out. Originality/Value: This work includes the analysis of the process of creating and strengthening the market advantage in conditions of changes in the structure and functioning of the European air transport market after enlargement of the European Union.
