Neste artigo procura-se associar os estudos teóricos relacionados à temática centro-periferia, multi-level governance, federalismo cooperativo e positive and negative integration à realidade empírica das unidades subnacionais no seio do Mercosul. São ainda efetuadas pesquisas de campo junto a atores políticos e representações de agentes econômicos a fim de privilegiar fontes primárias de informação e desta forma analisar comparativamente os impactos do Mercado Comum do Sul na economia política dos estados de Pernambuco, Bahia, São Paulo e Rio Grande do Sul, assim como em suas respectivas capitais.

This article seeks to associate the theoretical devices related to the center-periphery theme, multi-level governance, federalism & positive/negative integration to the very reality of subnational unities within Mercosur. Some field inquiries with economical agents & political actors are subsequently considered in order to favor primary sources of information. finally this text proposes to scrutinize the impact of the Southern Common Market on the political economy of Pernambuco, Bahia, Sao Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul & their respective capitals. Cyberspace has become a common source of international security threats, especially after September 11. The emergence and popularisation of so-called social media have enhanced the militancy of the most diverse groups, including terrorist ones. This article problematises international terrorism, pointing out the causes and effects of this 21st-century phenomenon that we name cyberterrorism 2.0. Thus, we focus on the cyberterrorism studies that analyse social media usage's inputs and outputs by terrorist groups. Through Webometrics and the framework Stakeholders, Activities and Motives in the realm of cybersecurity (SAM), we aim to explain, in the light of International Security Studies and through the Islamic State case study, how cyberterrorism 2.0 arises, develops and impacts national security.

Abstract The article analyses the decentralised international co-operation between Brazil and Europe, focusing on two specific issues that are not the main objectives of the literature specialised in paradiplomacy studies: first, how international co-operation can be used as a tool for power projection and second, the effects that the economic, political and institutional asymmetry among the actors involved in co-operation arrangements produces on the co-operation outcomes. For that, a wide range of documents and data was used (interviews, official documents, minutes of meetings and data collected with a survey applied to public managers) related to the international co-operation developed between Brazil and European countries. The conclusions are that even in decentralised co-operation arrangements, power relations matter to the results of co-operation.
