Important aspects of social networking analysis are covered in this work by combining experimental and theoretical research. A specific focus is devoted to emerging trends and the industry needs associated with utilizing data mining techniques. Some of the techniques covered include data mining advances in the discovery and analysis of communities, in the personalization of solitary activities (like searches) and social activities (like discovering potential friends), in the analysis of user behavior in open fora (like conventional sites, blogs and fora) and in commercial platforms (like e-auctions), and in the associated security and privacy-preservation challenges, as well as social network modeling, scalable, customizable social network infrastructure construction, and the identification and discovery of dynamic growth and evolution patterns using machine learning approaches or multi-agent based simulation. These topics will be of interest to practitioners and researchers alike in this dynamic and growing field.

This paper presents preliminary data regarding rifts amongjournalists in Sindh province, Pakistan. It analyzes the reasonsand motives of differences among the journalists of Sindh andresponsible for rifts. It focuses on the reasons for factionalismamong the journalist community in province. The data iscollected through six focus group discussions of purposivelyselected districts of Sindh province. The major findings show thatdifferences among journalists community have developedmainly due to vested interests, conspiracies of mediaorganizations/owners, and government; along with seniorjournalists monopoly established over the juniors in the newsprofession. Due to these reasons journalists have moved awayfrom district press clubs and have developed their own newpress clubs. Others have regrouped themselves under thetutelage of some media organizations.

We studied the cross-correlations in the daily closing prices of 181 stocks listed on the Pakistan stock exchange (PSX) covering a time period of 2007&ndash ; 2017 to compute the threshold networks and minimum spanning trees. In addition to the full sample analysis, our study uses three subsamples to examine the structural change and topological evolution before, during, and after the global financial crisis of 2008. We also apply Shannon entropy on the overall sample to measure the volatility of individual stocks. Our results find substantial clustering and a crisis-like less stable overall market structure, given the external and internal events of terrorism, political, financial, and economic crisis for Pakistan. The subsample results further reveal hierarchal scale-free structures and a reconfigured metastable market structure during a postcrisis period. In addition, time varying topological measures confirm the evidence of the presence of several star-like structures, the shrinkage of tree length due to crisis-related shocks, and an expansion in the recovery phase. Finally, changes of the central node of minimum spanning trees (MSTs), the volatile stock recognition using Shannon entropy, and the topology of threshold networks will help local and international investors of Pakistan Stock Exchange limited (PSX) to manage their portfolios or regulators to monitor the important nodes to achieve stability and to predict an upcoming crisis.

On September 14, 2014, , during the state visit of President of the Republic in the region called IFFOU, the chairman of PDCI-RDA asked its militants to support the candidacy of President Ouattara in the 2015 presidential elections. According Henri Konan Bédié, President of the PDCI, the objective of such a choice is twofold: Ensure the success of the RHDP in the 2015 elections and lead to a unified party called PDCI-RDR to govern Côte d'Ivoire. It being understood that these two parties will be able to establish between them the alternation to the post of president of the republic as early as 2020. Would it really be possible to achieve this alternation, especially in the current context of plurality and political division? On this basis, this article tries to question the uncertainties that structure this future alternation in a context of political plurality.
