Die klimatischen Veränderungen stellen den mitteleuropäischen Gartenbau und die Landwirtschaft vor große Herausforderungen. Dementsprechend beabsichtigt die europäische Agrarpolitik eine nachhaltige, aber hoch ertragreiche Pflanzenproduktion. Zur Umsetzung von klimapolitischen Maßnahmen ist ein Vergleichsinstrument auf Erzeugerebene, welches den Ursprung von Emissionen aufzeigt und Handlungsempfehlungen gibt, zielführend. Im Rahmen des Projekts PROSIBOR sollen am Beispiel der Tomatenproduktion unter Glas einfache Methoden zur Ermittlung des Water- und CO2-Footprint entwickelt werden, welche einen Beitrag für ein Benchmark-System leisten könnten. Erzeuger sollen das Instrument zur direkten Einordnung ihrer Ressourceneffizienzen anwenden können. ; The climatic changes pose major challenges for Central European horticulture and agriculture.
