The aim of this study was to estimate the variability of cattle effectives and dairy production from the county of Vâlcea during a six year period, 2001 – 2006, and quantify possible association of this variability with the variability of the cattle effectives and dairy production in Romania and European Union, in conventional rearing system. A test of variable distribution was performed in order to establish the statistical approach needed for estimate correlation, and both parametric and not parametric solutions were found. The variability of the cattle effectives reared in conventional system in the county of Vâlcea during 2001 – 2006 is positive and moderate correlated with the evolution of Romanian cattle effective. The evolution of these effectives are negatively correlated with the evolution of the same variable reported in EU, in the same period. The cattle dairy production obtained during 2001 – 2006 in the county of Vâlcea was moderate correlated with productions from Romania and EU.

The paper shows that the world economic stratification, as well as that of all natural, social and political systems is a natural law and a prerequisite for progress. Stratification itself may mean, however, both the remedy, but also the demise of systems, by exacerbating social inequalities. The database includes the evolution of gross domestic product per capita for different time frames at European level and worldwide. The main methods employed in processing database are the indices method and expectation values of position (quartile values) used to assess the structure of Europe and world countries according to the size of the gross domestic product. In Europe, for a century, stratification has increased visibly. If in 1913, the richest country in Europe achieved a GDP per capita of 3.94 times higher compared to the poorest country, in 2013 the ratio is 13.82 to one. The status of key statistical indicators that characterize the polarization of the world by size of gross domestic product, demonstrates that stratification is less pronounced inside continents, becoming however severe, worldwide. In this regard, it is alarming that in 1994, 75% of world countries were making only 7% of the GDP per capita in the richest country (Monaco). Given that information has now become increasingly more fluid, one can include among beneficiaries, the least developed countries. Circulation of information is, however, under the command of polarizing forces, belonging to the same great powers of the world. In this way, by means of more refined methods, the benefits of progress preserve world hierarchies.

Legislation regarding the renewable energy, the potential for energy production, educationand scientific research in the domain are major factors which have a great impact on the renewableenergy production, due to the fact that they may represent external factors of decision, together withthe market in Romania. Also these elements are important because they represent the base fordeveloping strategic planning for the future in the domain of energy production. SWOT analysis inthis case is a research based on the study cases and the questionnaire applied to the people, producersand potential users of the energy from renewable sources in the North West region. In the presentresearch there are highlighted several important elements of the results obtained in the SWOT analyze. The original element used to achieve this SWOT analyze is represented by the questionnaire applied inorder to have this analyze and also to have a profile for the producers/potential users of the energyproduced from the renewable sources in the North West region, Romania

The aim of this study regarding the usage of renewable resources in the North West region,Romania, starts from the premise that the production of energy from renewable resources is at thebeginning, the usage of these sources not being enough promoted or known. In this direction, in thispaper there was achieved a profile of the producer of energy from renewable resources, in North Westregion, Romania. The research was made using a questionnaire applied to all the producers of energyfrom renewable resources (11 registered producers), from the following counties: Cluj, Bihor, Salaj,Satu-Mare, Bistrita-Nasaud, Maramures. The results highlighted that most producers registered in theNorth West region use as unconventional source the wind source, followed by hydro energy. Only fewproducers use as renewable source the solar and biomass ones. A detailed analyze of the questionnairepointed out the fact that: the presence of the producers on the market is less than five years, theiractivity is highly influenced by the production costs, the number of the producers is relatively low, dueto the lack of government stimulants in the usage of projects that have as a goal the usage of thesetypes of resources. The results of the questionnaire underlined the interest in the domain ofenvironment protection this being one of the major aims in the renewable energy production.
