Nachhaltige Wertschöpfung ist das Diktum einer zukunftsfähigen Wirtschaftsform. Damit es gelingen kann, Produktionssysteme nach dieser Maßgabe zu konzipieren, ist eine quantitative Bezifferung von essentieller Bedeutung. Gründend auf den ethisch-normativen Lehren Immanuel Kants' und Hans Jonas', wird in der vorliegenden Arbeit nach einer kategorischen Objektivierung der Wertschöpfung an der ökonomisch-ökologischen Schnittstelle gesucht. Das hier vorgelegte Konzept erweitert die betriebliche Wertschöpfungsrechnung um die sozio-ökologischen Folgen produktionstechnischer Handlungen. Mit dem eco²-Value-Added wird ein rein pekuniärer Indikator präsentiert, der sowohl die betriebs- als auch die gesellschaftszweckdienlichen Effekte der Leistungserstellung zu inkludieren vermag. Einem produzierenden Unternehmen eröffnet das Konzept die Überprüfung der gesellschaftlichen Legitimation, die Antizipation von Unternehmensrisiken sowie eine zielorientierte Ausrichtung des soziotechnischen Systems im Hinblick auf die immanente Gerechtigkeitsherausforderung. Ebenso ist eine ordnungspolitische Verwendung des Ansatzes in Form gezielter Steuer- und Regelungsmechanismen möglich. ; Adding value sustainably is essential for a future green economy. An adequate alignment of manufacturing systems heavily depends on specific measurement. This thesis provides a categorically objective interpretation of combined economic and ecologic value added in dependence on the philosophies of Immanuel Kant and Hans Jonas. The here presented concept broadens classic operational value added accounting for manufacturing systems with regards to socio-ecologic concequences. The eco²-value-added considers both economic and ecologic impact of technological actions in industrial enterprises on a solely monetary basis. An application in organisations enables a review of social legitimation, an anticipation of business risks and an adjustment of the socio-technical system towards the omnipresent challenge of equity. Likewise, the concept provides basic principles for a potential regulative utilization via tailored tax systems.

Biointelligence is currently one of the most noted innovation paths in Germany and Europe. Crucial to the development of the Biointelligence vision are recent biotech and information technology breakthroughs. It is therefore not surprising that the scientific community, political decision-makers as well as industry representatives are enthusiastic about the subject of biointelligence. In the Stuttgart-Tübingen region, for example, more than 40 scientists have joined forces in the Competence Center Biointelligence to promote the topic in an interdisciplinary fashion. Not only the federal government, but also various state governments are planning extensive support measures. At the level of the European Commission, the term Industry 5.0 is sometimes even used behind closed doors. The fact is that biointelligence opens up enormous potential for break through innovations, leap frogging and competitive advantages in almost all industrial sectors. In many cases, however, the term is misunderstood, which ultimately leads to undermining the meaning and thus undermining the potential for Germany as a business location. For science, industry and politics it is crucial to find a consensus. This article thus aims to contribute by summarizing the term background, presenting a detailed definition and developing a categorization system.

Die Biointelligenz zählt derzeit zu den am meisten beachteten Innovationspfaden in Deutschland und Europa. Maßgeblich für die Entwicklung der Vision der Biointelligenz sind die jüngsten Erfolge der Bio- und Informationstechnologie. So ist es nicht verwunderlich, dass die wissenschaftliche Gemeinschaft, politische Entscheidungsträger wie auch Vertreter der Industrie dem Thema Biointelligenz geradezu enthusiastisch gegenüberstehen. In der Region Stuttgart-Tübingen haben sich beispielsweise über 40 Wissenschaftler im Kompetenzzentrum Biointelligenz zusammengeschlossen, um das Thema gemeinsam, interdisziplinär voranzubringen. Nicht nur die Bundesregierung, sondern auch verschiedene Landesregierungen, planen umfangreiche Fördermaßnahmen. Auf Ebene der EU-Kommission wird hinter vorgehaltener Hand teilweise sogar der Begriff Industrie 5.0 verwendet. Fakt ist, dass die Biointelligenz enormes Potenzial für Sprunginnovationen und Standortvorteile in nahezu allen industriellen Branchen eröffnet. Vielfach wird der Begriff jedoch missverstanden, was in letzter Konsequenz dazu führt, dass die Bedeutung ausgehöhlt und damit das Potenzial für den Wirtschaftsstandort Deutschland unterminiert wird. Für Wissenschaft, Industrie und Politik ist es entscheidend einen Konsens zu finden. Dazu soll dieser Artikel einen Beitrag leisten, indem er die Begriffsherkunft zusammenfasst, einen detaillierten Definitionsvorschlag präsentiert und eine Kategorisierungssystematik erarbeitet.

Due to growing public awareness and rising requirements of legislation and customers' expectations in the field of sustainability, it is increasingly important for enterprises to assess and subsequently reduce their environmental impact. However, the acquisition of environmental data in enterprises still causes considerable effort, due to the necessary manual acquisition. A unified asset administration shell (AAS) potentially provides higher data transparency and environmental data interoperability along the value chain and, thus a more detailed (real-time capable) accounting of the environmental impact of products and services. Hence, this paper presents an approach for an automated environmental impact assessments (EIA) of products and production sites via AAS. Thereby, a first application of the AAS in the context of automated EIAs was implemented at the ARENA2036 research factory. The AAS automatically collects energy and emission data throughout a production process and thus allows the allocation of actual emissions to product and equipment (environmental wallet). The results reveal a first starting point for automated EIA, facilitating individual EIAs to address increasing product variety.

Die Biologische Transformation der Wertschöpfung wird den Produktionsstandort Deutschland massiv verändern, ein Sachverhalt, der im Zuge der BIOTRAIN-Voruntersuchung erstmal umfangreich analysiert wurde. Im Ergebnis zeichnet die Voruntersuchung ein ganzheitliches Bild des Status-Quo Deutschlands, der zu erwartenden Umwälzungen, der Basistechnologien sowie der Handlungsfelder dieser Transformation.

The German manufacturing industry is forced to evolve its processes, techniques, and organizations due to increasing global competition and progressive sustainability requirements. In this context, the soaring possibilities of bio- and information technology have recently let few authors develop the vision of a biological transformation of manufacturing, a concept that to date has been barely concrete to politicians, scientists, and managers. In this paper, we present results of the first systematic assessment of the biological transformation of the German manufacturing industry. We chose a combination of the Delphi method and scenario planning in order to assess key technologies, determine the status quo of Germany and provide a forecast of potential developments. Thereupon, we identify ten fields of action for setting the course for a sustainable industrial value creation. We conclude with a summary and recommendations for decision makers in politics, industries and research.
