Role of Energy in Iran-Turkmenistan relations
The emergence of the independent Turkmenistan in Central Asia, in the wake of the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, marked the beginning of a new chapter and turning point in Iran-Turkmenistan relationship. Islamic Republic of Iran perceived cooperation with independent Turkmenistan as an opportunity for playing an influential role not only in the newly emerged regional political structure of Central Asia but also at the international level as an important corridor for supplying energy to other countries. As Turkmenistan is one of the countries having huge energy resources but did not have any direct access to market except through Russia. Therefore Iran can play an important role for Turkmenistan in diversifying its energy market which is quite important for Turkmenistan in order to reduce its dependence on Russian market. So the main focus of this paper is energy cooperation between the two countries which could play a significant role in bringing the two countries more close to each.

The Post independent policy making and implementation in India has focused on the issue of inclusive development as a major area of concern. This has resulted in considerable progress in the domain of social inclusion and democratic values based on principles of Equality and social justice. Equality is related to the development of democratic principles. Gender equality includes an equivalent treatment of both the sexes or treatment that is dissimilar but is considered equivalent in terms of benefits, rights, obligations, opportunities and responsibilities. The authors have tried to explore the effects of current policy making and implementation and the politics of inclusion and equality in India through a gender perspective and suggested certain measures to be followed so as to make it more inclusive.
