Indian telecom industry has seen a major change in last 100 years. However last 20 years have seen rapid advancements, widespread adoption and variety of applications/uses based on telecom services. In this paper, researcher has looked at data collected from various primary and secondary sources and analysed the same. The paper throws light on how telecom industry as evolved, some statistics about adoption of cell phones and internet etc. The factors that helped cell phone industry grow included falling prices of voice and data, governments push for use of phone based apps for transactions, falling prices of handsets that are capable of rich data applications (smart phones) and most importantly disruptions brought by companies like Jio across the nation.

This 26th dossier d'Agropolis is devoted to research and partnerships in agroecology. The French Commission for International Agricultural Research (CRAI) and Agropolis International, on behalf of CIRAD, INRAE and IRD and in partnership with CGIAR, has produced this new issue in the 'Les dossiers d'Agropolis international' series devoted to agroecology. This publication has been produced within the framework of the Action Plan signed by CGIAR and the French government on February 4th 2021 to strengthen French collaboration with CGIAR, where agroecology is highlighted as one of the three key priorities (alongside climate change, nutrition and food systems).
