The article deals with the issue of the identity of the place, taken in reference to the concept of places and non-places by Marc Augé. The main purpose of the theoretical analyses and analysis and interpretation of empirical results of the study was to determine the identity of the place (borderland) by referring to the individual memory of members of the minority group, inscribed in multifaceted, individual negotiations of experiencing the identity of the place. An important aspect discussed in the article are issues of social forgetting in Paul Connerton's approach and socio-cultural consequences of this process for the identity of the individual, group and place. Narrative interview was the main form of data collection. The analyses are oriented to the variable of the identity of the borderland. The categories of the analysis refer to: the cultural identity of the borderland; personal memories of respondents related to the events, situations related to the past of their family; social memory of the minority group; social memory of the majority group. Memory of the borderland is a memory strongly embedded in a given area and unequivocally localized – assigned to a place "marked" and "embedded" cul- turally. Artykuł prezentuje wyniki badań, których celem było ustalenie roli zasobów osobowościowych i zachowań zdrowotnych jako czynników warunkujących satysfakcję z życia w grupie osób uzależnionych od alkoholu i narkotyków. W artykule prezentujemy całościowy model predyktorów uwzględniający prężność, wspólnotowość sprawczość, zachowania zdrowotne i satysfakcję z życia. Jego dopasowanie było testowane poprzez analizę wielu zmiennych, które dotychczas były badane oddzielnie: prężność wspólnotowość, sprawczość i zachowania zdrowotne jako zmienne wyjaśniające oraz satysfakcja z życia jako zmienna wyjaśniana. Założyliśmy, że orientacja sprawcza i wspólnotowa, prężność i zachowania zdrowotne jako zasoby osobiste można uznać za czynniki wpływające na kształtowanie satysfakcji życiowej a w konsekwencji na przebieg terapii uzależnień. Z naszych badań wynika, że zasoby osobiste są czynnikami determinującym satysfakcję życiową co może przyczyniać się w znacznej mierze do walki z chorobą w tym z uzależnieniem.

AbstractIt has been widely demonstrated that pre‐ and post‐migration experiences can be highly traumatic for refugees. The purpose of this study was to assess the mediating effects of religious coping and sense of coherence on the association of negative dysfunctional situation appraisal and mental well‐being among refugees. Paper surveys were completed by 600 people representing various refugee groups (mostly from Mashreq Countries) in German Bavaria, aged 18–65. Mediation analysis revealed that negative religious coping and sense of coherence singly and serially mediated the relationship between negative dysfunctional situation appraisal and well‐being, whereas positive religious coping did not have statistically significant relationships with these variables. The data obtained suggest that the negative religious coping style and sense of coherence are two important targets for future experimental studies, and interventions on them may bring the synergistic effect on improving mental well‐being in refugees.
