The overall purpose of this study was from an educational management perspective to explore the effectiveness of the re-entry policy implementation in public schools in Lusaka District, Zambia, and highlight the missing links between the stipulated re-entry policy of 1997 and the actual practice on the ground in terms of its implementation in secondary schools. This study was qualitative and employed a case study approach, and standard open-ended interviews were used to obtain data from the district education officers, headteachers, teachers, and parents to teen mothers. The study's findings imply that the re-entry policy implementation in the selected secondary schools is not practical to a high degree. The study findings further indicated that the policy is silent, and there is no awareness of the policy in secondary schools due to unclear policy goals and objectives. The study findings also indicated no sense of ownership of the policy by stakeholders responsible for implementing the policy. Further, the study concluded that secondary schools' policy implementation is not practical because there are no clear stated objectives, implementation and monitoring strategies, financial, human, and legal resources. Hence, this study recommended that the Ministry of General Education redesign the policy, including all stakeholders in the formulation process, and clearly state its goals and objectives to ensure future successful implementation.

This systematic review aimed at exploring Confucius' thoughts and influence on moral education in China. The study results show that ancient Chinese educational thoughts of moral education could be said to have three dimensions: goal, main contents, and teaching methods described in this paper. An analysis of the key elements of Confucius' educational thought's on moral education reveals that the purpose of moral education in ancient China was to cultivate a totally virtuous individual ('Junzi')., while as the concept of benevolence ('Ren') is considered the foundation of Confucius' moral, educational thoughts, while the concept of etiquette ('Li') is the external form of 'Ren.' Both of them are fundamental to Confucius' ideas on moral education. Confucius' moral education includes numerous teaching approaches, such as self-cultivating, individual instruction, enlightenment, and practice, which are presented in this paper. Furthermore, this paper concludes by arguing that Confucius's educational thoughts on moral education provide a significant reference for contemporary education in todays' China and has enduring value for research and practice in contemporary moral education in the 21st century.

The sphere of inclusive and special needs education has garnered significant attention in contemporary educational discourse. China, as an influential global actor, provides a pertinent case study due to its socio-cultural dynamics and rapid educational reforms. This qualitative analysis seeks to elucidate effective practices prevalent in China's special needs education system and examine their implications for further academic and policy-oriented discussions. A qualitative study method was chosen and in-depth interviews were used to obtain in-depth information. The study sample consisted of 4 teachers,3 students,1 parent and 1 school manager in China using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was analyzed inductively and successively coded to generate emerging themes. The results of the study shows that special needs children enjoy equal educational access in China, however, there is a lack of systematic and comprehensive support at school level resulting in limited compensatory equity and differential equity. Also, the results of the study show that teachers' professional ethics and professional level are the keys for implementing relevant policies and ideas and promoting the educational equity of children in regular classes.

This study aimed to explore teachers' perceptions and practices in professional development (PD) activities and the impact of PD on their professional growth. A descriptive mixed-method design was utilized, and the study sample of seven hundred (700) respondents from four primary schools was selected randomly. The results indicate that the program is charming and perfectly designed for the professional development of Zambian teachers; however, there are many flaws in the various steps of the program's implementation, which seem to fail PD activities in teacher training, as the transfer of exercise was found to be very ineffective. The results show that teachers perceived PD as being significant because it improves the teacher's pedagogical knowledge, teaching skills, and updating content knowledge. The results show that the predominant PD practices in schools were workshops, in-service training, and continuing learning. This study argues that PD enhances teachers' pedagogical knowledge, content knowledge, and career growth.
