The aim of this article is to look into some fashion consumption practices that manifest resistance at the micro social level and which occur through one specific virtual platform from Argentina, Renová Tu Vestidor (renovatuvestidor.com). The resistance mentioned here seeks to overcome market prices during the period concerning 2016 and 2018, as well as to find brand items and other affordable stylish garments and simultaneously generate extra income. Therefore, resistant practices through online shopping are linked to the need of managing the household economy in a time of national (and global) crisis, without neglecting the pleasure that fashion consumption provides (visiting virtual stores and shopping online), as well as avoiding the loss of class status and, last but not least, evincing an unconscious extension of domestic labour. This article will specifically address the relationships some women maintain between fashion consumption as resistant practices in virtual platforms that trade with second-hand clothes, and formal occupations, leisure, pleasure and an extension of domestic labour.

"In this paper, I intend to study for the first time the role of demonstrations and fictions as key elements for the scientization of history in the early German Enlightenment. First, I analyze the debate about the role of demonstrative knowledge in the historical narration, with special regard to Thomasius and Heumann. Next, I explore the relationship between the knowledge of historical facts and the epistemology of sensibility, with special regard to Chladenius and the Baumgarten brothers. My conclusion is that history as a science arises out of a concurrence of logical and aesthetic features."

En el escenario actual es posible atisbar hibridaciones de estilos que ignoran cualquier regla sobre moda, mixturando estéticas que antes parecían incompatibles, actuando en paralelo y sin adherir una sola subcultura de moda. Desde la netnografía, se destacan consumos de una moda sin género o no binaria, íntimamente entrecruzada con otros influenciados por la cultura popular japonesa o neojaponismo, que manifiestan las transgresiones de género con mayor comodidad. Por consiguiente, en este escrito, se abordarán esas dos temáticas salientes que se han vuelto continente de las subjetividades actuales en sus expresiones de consumos de moda a través de medios digitales.

En la actualidad, los efectos de la hipermediatización vinculados a los usos de las tecnologías digitales evidencian una creciente influencia de los estilos y la cultura popular japonesa en los consumos culturales a nivel global. En Argentina, se percibe una fuerte presencia del neojaponismo, especialmente en los consumos de moda junto a una hibridación de estilos heterogéneos. El presente trabajo se propone abordar las prácticas relacionadas al consumo de indumentaria de moda en jóvenes a través de medios digitales y plataformas virtuales que se ven influenciadas por la cultura pop japonesa. De esta forma, es posible detectar prácticas de consumo que samplean, mezclan y replican vestigios culturales japoneses que van desde el animé, pasando por lo kawaii hasta el uso de kanjis japoneses, junto a otras estéticas y estilos de moda y, por consiguiente, comunican nuevas construcciones de subjetividades respecto de la apariencia, la selección de marcas, el género, entre otros aspectos.

It is possible to assert that the fashion system constitutes a complex device that determines consumption agendas. Fashion clothing is massively consumed, and consumer habits are deeply affected by online advertising. These consumption practices are not simply passive, sometimes they are creative, yet they are still part of the fashion disciplinary device. In these consumption practices, a range of expressions and discourses between individuals may be detected as well as multiple subjectivities under construction within contemporary societies. The intention of this article is to shed some light on the role of online fashion consumption practices within our societies, which are traversed by daily and prevailingly online advertising and encourage increased consumption. 'Influencers' are one novel example of how online advertising is subtly influencing fashion consumption. Even though consumers show certain tendencies in acquiring fashion clothing from specific brands, via different digital media outlets depending on their socioeconomic status and their peer groups, their consumption practices may try to subvert the conventional formats through which fashion clothing has been consumed traditionally. Nevertheless, as much as these practices seem to promote freedom, they might confirm the tactics of the system and just be a part of the algorithmic logic that imposes certain products, reproducing established categories.

AbstractIn this essay, I investigate Baumgarten's doctrine of the six perfections of knowledge (wealth, magnitude, truth, clarity, certainty, and life), which is famously one of the most characteristic and enigmatic features of his philosophy. Recent scholarship has almost unanimously stressed the rhetorical background of the categories. Instead, I argue that Baumgarten elaborates his theory in close relationship with coeval philosophy. To support this claim, I examine the position of some Thomasian philosophers, such as Johann Liborius Zimmermann, who had indicated a list of criteria similar to that of Baumgarten. Moreover, I analyse the distinction between formal and material perfections, tracing it back to the Wolffian milieu. On these bases, I propose a new reconstruction of Baumgarten's doctrine, with particular attention to its aesthetic application. Finally, I outline the reception of the six categories in the late German Enlightenment until Kant.

The aim of this essay is to examine Baumgarten?s conception on the history of
aesthetics and on his role in it. In the first part, I analyze the way in
which Baumgarten?s aesthetic innovation has been perceived by two of his
disciples, namely Georg Conrad Winckelmann and Georg Andreas Will. While the
former puts the emphasis on the modernity of aesthetics, Will seems more
inclined to attribute the birth of aesthetics to ancient philosophers.
Despite this apparent disagreement, my thesis is that the basic positions of
the two authors are very similar and find their rationale in Baumgarten?s
peculiar treatment of the issue. Consequently, I set out to inquire into
Baumgarten?s theory, in the attempt to better understand his reconstruction
of the empirical history of aesthetics. My purpose is to see how this
empirical history is framed within a more systematic history which
establishes its guidelines and marks its turning points. Eventually, I take
into account the possible implications of this position with regard to the
question of the origin of aesthetics.

The thesis aims at appraising the role of port state in international law by analyzing the whole of rights, duties and obligations ascribed to it by relevant legal instruments adopted in various fields of the law of the sea. After considering some preliminary questions, namely the notion of "port state" in opposition to coastal and flag states, the first chapter deals with the legal regime of port state extra-territorial jurisdiction under Article 218 of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and other relevant provisions of this Convention. In the second chapter, the focus is on Port State Control as provided by a number of international legal conventions and soft law instruments relating to the prevention of marine pollution, safety and security matters as a complementary tool to the flag state principle. The next two chapters further address the responsibility assumed by port states to ensure compliance and implementation of international rules and standards concerning living and working conditions of seafarers on board merchant and fishing ships as well as port state measures adopted at the international and regional level in order to curb the phenomenon of illegal, unregulated and unauthorized fishing on the high sea. Subsequent chapters explore the various regional memoranda of understanding on Port State Control and the rights and obligations of EU members acting as port states under the relevant EU legislation. Finally, the research undertaken shows that the role of port state under international law has gone through significant changes both from a quantitative and qualitative perspective. Thus, it may be argued that port state is being more and more considered as acting for the protection of common values and goods.

Este trabajo se desprende de un seminario de investigación de Doctorado y su posterior artículo, centrado en reflexionar sobre la fugaz adopción del barbijo o tapabocas, en la vida cotidiana, como un medio, en los términos propuestos por Marshall McLuhan: todo medio es mensaje. En este sentido, el artículo pretende abordar las razones de su uso, la circulación de sentidos en la sociedad, así como los nuevos vínculos establecidos entre personas con renovadas significaciones del orden identitario. De esta forma, el cuerpo, los sentidos y la moda constituyen artilugios reconfigurados por este medio y permiten establecer comparaciones con otras culturas, como las orientales, respecto del uso tanto de velos, por aquellas musulmanas, islámicas y árabes, como de barbijos, implementados hace años por países como Japón.
