AbstractDecision‐makers use system dynamics models to understand how model structure causes problematic behaviors, and how the structure should be changed to improve performance. However, understanding problem behavior and designing policies can be complicated without analytical tools. Existing methods focus on feedback loops that drive dynamic behavior. We propose a new method, Analysis of Dynamic Models by Optimization (ADMO), which focuses on understanding the causes of well‐defined problems and on guiding system and policy design. Unlike existing methods, ADMO can evaluate the influence of exogenous variables and nonlinearities, leading to new understandings of endogenous behavior and providing insights for policy design. ADMO can be employed with any model, including differential equation, agent‐based, discrete event, or hybrid, requiring minimal effort. Two cases demonstrate the application of ADMO to analyze problems and improve both system design and policies. © 2023 The Authors. AbstractThe purpose of this article is to report on improvements on the interpretation and insights emerging from dynamic decomposition weight analysis (DDWA). These improvements emerged from efforts to further automate and expand the eigenvalue elasticity analysis methods and resolve inconsistencies in assumptions made in published reports of DDWA usage. In addition to making available to the broad system dynamics community an improved toolset to perform eigenvalue elasticity analysis, in this paper we clarify the set of assumptions needed to obtain reliable results and develop a new framework to assess the impact of model parameters on the projections of behavior modes on stock behavior. We illustrate the use of these developments by updating a previously published model analysis. The paper concludes by summarizing our findings and their implications for the further development of structural dominance analysis.© 2018 System Dynamics Society

The article is devoted to the trends of memorializing in monumental forms the memory of heroes and victims of the Civil war in the cities of Siberia on the examples of Past and Present. The subjects of memory politics, who were behind the memorializing processes in this area at different stages of history, are revealed. The political meanings reflected in memorializing acts and discussions connected to them are explicated. There is proposed the periodization of the processes of memorializing victims and heroes of the Civil war in Siberia.

The article presents a previously understudied regional history aspect related to the origin, development and everyday life of the 16th Military Town in Omsk. It reveals the relation of the issue to the historiography of the problem on the scale of Siberian region. The objective of the research is to study the history of the 16th Military Town in Omsk by solving compound tasks. The authors analyse the microdistrict construction stages, reveal the main impact factors; study the military disposition within the microdistrict with regard to the local history. The research is based on a number of sources (previously unpublished documents from the Historical Archive of the Omsk Region and reference books) to restore the different stages of the Military Town history and construction, as well as the military disposition within the district as much as possible. The provided data form the foundation for a conclusion on the uniqueness of the 16th Military Town as a historical and cultural space of the urban environment from the perspective of history and culture studies
