Objectives: To deal with the Covid-19 pandemic and its unpredictable variations, universities must develop many different response scenarios in which online teaching is considered a suitable, strategic, and long-term solution. Our study aims to investigate and determine the relationships between digital transformation, satisfaction, word-of-mouth communication, and students' intention to continue learning online in universities. Methods/Analysis: Our study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to measure the interaction with data processing tools such as partial least squares SEM (PLS-SEM), Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and PLS Bootstrapping with descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings: The results show a positive interaction between students, faculty, and schools with digital transformation; between digital transformation and student satisfaction and word of mouth communication; between satisfaction with an expression of mouth communication and the intention to continue learning online; and between oral communication and a student's intention to continue learning online. This study aims to investigate and determine the trend and extent of the impact of a company's liquidity and efficiency on profitability. Research data is collected on the audited financial statements of Vietnam's top 100 listed companies. Regression models (pooled OLS, FEM, and REM) and necessary tests are used to select the appropriate analysis model. Model defects are overcome by GLS regression. The research results confirm the strong, positive impact of liquidity, company efficiency, and company growth rate on profitability. In addition, the research results also demonstrate a significant negative impact between financial leverage and profitability. This article is the first study to simultaneously address the effects of liquidity and corporate efficiency on profitability. Furthermore, it is the first empirical study applying GLS regression to analyze the impact of liquidity and corporate efficiency on the top 100 listed companies in the Vietnamese market. This market provides an ideal analytical framework because of its heterogeneity in terms of its history of origin and development and its political, cultural, social, and governance characteristics. PurposeAlthough there are many efforts within organisations to improve the financial performance of business processes, the results of studies on the impact of internal factors on the financial performance of business processes in an organisation are inconsistent, even contradictory. Therefore, this paper aims to examine the extent and trends of the impact of factors inside companies on the financial performance of business processes and discover lessons learned to improve the financial performance of business processes.Design/methodology/approachThis analysis was done through a quantitative study of listed companies in Vietnam. Pooled OLS regression, REM, FEM and robust regression were performed on 566 companies.FindingsThe results provide four main findings. First, firm size and operational efficiency strongly correlate with financial performance. Second, financial leverage has a negative, significant connection with financial performance. Third, net working capital has a positive and meaningful relationship with EPS and a negative association with ROE. Fourth, liquidity does not have any significant association with financial performance.Research limitations/implicationsThis study only restricts the internal factors affecting the financial performance of business processes without mentioning the external factors. Furthermore, this study is limited to one emerging country and has not been compared with companies in different countries.Practical implicationsThe findings of this study may help inform users inside and outside the organisation to understand the factors that affect the financial performance of business processes. As a result, information users will focus more on aspects that can improve their financial performance to make informed decisions.Originality/valueThis study has many differences compared to previous studies. First, it focuses on the internal factors affecting the financial performance of business processes in non-financial listed companies in Vietnam, which has an emerging economy. Second, this study analyses data in companies' financial statements for the ten years from 2012 to 2021, when the Vietnamese economy, in particular, and the world economy experienced many fluctuations due to the impact of the post-financial crisis 2007–2008 and the COVID-19 pandemic. Vietnamese agriculture has experienced remarkable growth over the past twenty years. Today, however, Vietnamese agriculture is edging toward the limits of a growth model rooted more in the intensification of production systems featuring heavy use of labor, chemicals, and natural resources than in efficiency or value addition gains. Agricultural growth is decelerating and Vietnam's competitiveness as a provider of bulk, undifferentiated commodities is flagging as the agricultural sector faces rising competition for labor, land, and other resources. The environmental fallout from intensification has also begun to adversely impact productivity and the position of Vietnam's commodities in international markets. If it is to fulfill its ambitions and remain a motor of economic development, Vietnam's agriculture will need to start producing More from Less. In this regard, tackling agricultural pollution represents a key challenge for Vietnam. Pollution has started to take a toll on the sector's own resource base, potentially impacting soil fertility and yields, the effectiveness of chemicals in combating pests and disease, farmer health and productivity, environmental health, and the safety of food. Growing evidence and public concern about pollution have led the Vietnamese government to adopt a new outlook and to take measures to address the problem. The research upon which this summary report is based represents the first attempt to assemble existing evidence on the nature and magnitude of agricultural pollution in Vietnam, looking across the livestock, aquaculture, and crops subsectors. It is also an attempt to shed light on the socioeconomic impacts and drivers of agricultural pollution, including the shortcomings of existing policies and programs to reign in the problem.
