PURPOSE: The main purpose of this article was to establish and demonstrate the relationship between changes in perception of university's organizational culture in the opinion of students from civil and military universities. ; APPROACH/METHODOLOGY/DESIGN: The main research problem was presented in the form of the following question: Is there a relation between the type of university (Civil vs. Military) and the students' perception of the university's organizational culture? In order to solve the presented research problem, a diagnostic poll method was used, carried out by means of a survey technique, with the use of a survey questionnaire tool. Statistical analyzes were carried out with the use of IBM SPSS Statistics 26 package. Thanks to it, frequently analysis, the cross-table analysis with chi-square test and rho-Sperman correlation analysis have been made. The study involved 890 students at both civil and military universities. ; FINDINGS: It can be stated that empirical research about organizational culture, especially in the context of universities and research on the students' opinions on this subject will allow for the development of new solutions regarding the functioning of universities which will also allow the adaptation of the educational offer to the current, changing needs of students. ; PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS: The obtained empirical data made it possible to establish a direct relation between the variables such as elements of organizational culture, changes in it and relations with the external environment and the perception of the organizational culture of the university from the point of view of civil and military students. ; ORIGINALITY/VALUE: The article presents the author's approach to the question of researching the opinion of civil and military students in the context of changes and elements which create the organizational culture of university which students study in. Concerns have been raised over the quality of evidence on the performance of medical artificial intelligence devices, including devices that are already on the market in the USA and Europe. Recently, the Medical Device Regulation, which aims to set high standards of safety and quality, has become applicable in the European Union. The aim of this article is to discuss whether, and how, the Medical Device Regulation will help improve the safety and performance of medical artificial intelligence devices entering the market. The Medical Device Regulation introduces new rules for risk classification of the devices, which will result in more devices subjected to a higher degree of scrutiny before entering the market; more stringent requirements on clinical evaluation, including the requirement for appraisal of clinical data; new requirements for post-market surveillance, which may help spot early on any new, unexpected side effects and risks of the devices; and requirements for notified bodies, including for expertise of the personnel and consideration of relevant best practice documents. The guidance of the Medical Device Coordination Group on clinical evaluation of medical device software and the MEDDEV2.7 guideline on clinical evaluation also attend to some of the problems identified in studies on medical artificial intelligence devices. The Medical Device Regulation will likely help improve the safety and performance of the medical artificial intelligence devices on the European market. The impact of the Regulation, however, is also dependent on its adequate enforcement by the European Union member states.

Zalety metodologiczne teorii ról wynikają z jej specyficznej struktury, która może stanowić łącznik pomiędzy kilkoma perspektywami naukowymi. W ramach niniejszego artykułu dokonano analizy polityki zagranicznej Republiki Turcji, prowadzonej w oparciu o wytyczne zawarte w koncepcji "strategicznej głębi". Zgodnie z jej założeniami aktywność dyplomatyczna i współpraca z sąsiednimi regionami miała zapewnić Turcji pozycję mocarstwa średniej wielkości oraz lidera muzułmańskiego kręgu kulturowego. Role theory in international relations is an interdisciplinary approach that combines the key aspects of political science, psychology and sociology. Thus, it allows for a better understanding and an in-depth analysis of the state's behavior in global politics. The methodological advantages of role theory result from its specific structure, which provides a link between several scientific perspectives. In this article, the concept of "strategic depth" in foreign policy of the Republic of Turkey was analyzed. According to its assumptions, diplomatic activity and cooperation with neighboring regions would enable Turkey to gain a position of a medium-sized power and the leader of the Muslim civilization. This study begins with an outline of the theoretical framework and methodology. Next, the twentieth-century geopolitical narratives in Turkey were described. The third part of the article presents the basic assumptions of the concept of "strategic depth". Odkąd Partia Sprawiedliwości i Rozwoju przejęła rządy w 2002 roku, jednym z głównych zadań jej polityki zagranicznej była próba odzyskania wpływów na terenie dawnego Imperium Osmańskiego. Położenie geograficzne, dziedzictwo historyczne oraz bogactwo kulturowe Turcji stwarzały dogodne warunki do takiej ekspansji politycznej. W procesie promocji Republiki Turcji wśród sąsiednich państw zaangażowane są wyspecjalizowane instytucje i agencje (np. Turecka Agencja Współpracy i Koordynacji, Prezydencja dla Turków Za Granicą oraz Pokrewnych Społeczności, Instytut Yunusa Emre). Analiza wybranych działań wymienionych wyżej organizacji stanowi kluczowy element pracy.

This paper aims to analyze the role of EU-Turkey relations in Turkish public debate since 2002, when the Justice and Development Party took power. The Republic of Turkey filed an application to accede to the European Economic Community (the predecessor of the European Union) in 1987; however, the accession negotiations proceeded extremely slowly until the entire process came to an impasse in 2018. Although currently Turkey and the European Union share many common problems (e.g. migration crisis, threat of terrorism, energy security), their cooperation is very limited and thus often ineffective. The author argues that recent developments in Turkey have been shaped by President Erdoğan's anti-Western rhetoric and are dominated by domestic factors (i.e. inward oriented). In order to present Turkey's attitudes towards the EU, the source analysis focused on identifying basic assumptions and objectives of Turkish foreign policy The analysis revealed that here are three possible scenarios for future partnership between Turkey and the EU: optimistic, pessimistic, and realistic.

The aim of this article is to assess the effectiveness of actions taken by Turkish authorities in the 21st century which have been intended to strengthen multi-faceted cooperation with the Balkan states. Since the Justice and Development Party came to power in Turkey in 2002, one of the main tasks of its foreign policy has been an attempt to regain influence in the area of former Ottoman Empire. Turkish geographical location, imperial past, and rich culture created favorable conditions for such political expansion. In order to promote Turkey among the neighboring countries special institutions and agencies are involved (e.g. Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities, the Yunus Emre Institute). Celem niniejszej pracy jest analiza i próba oceny tureckiej polityki zagranicznej pod kątem wyzwań współczesnej integracji regionalnej. W części pierwszej zostały przedstawione czynniki determinujące obecną pozycję Turcji w regionie, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem dorobku sprawującej rządy nieprzerwanie od 2002 roku Partii Sprawiedliwości i Rozwoju. Następnie prześledzono działania tureckich władz względem Bliskiego Wschodu i Kaukazu Południowego – dwóch kluczowych regionów, stanowiących alternatywę dla stopniowo pogarszających się relacji Republiki Turcji z Unią Europejską. Ostatnia część pracy stanowi próbę określenia tendencji, mających wpływ na proces kształtowania się przyszłej polityki integracyjnej Ankary w odniesieniu do najbliższych sąsiadów.
