On the 21st of April 2021 in Saint Petersburg there was an anniversary International Youth Labour Forum, which once again united young people, representatives of business, education and government officials to discuss the situation on the labour market and offer solutions for the career development of Generation Z. At the scientific Conference "Life and Labor balance of Generation Z" held within the framework of the Forum, the main values of modern youth and their career strategies were discussed.

The paper updates the scientific discussion on the relationship between the notions of labor and employment in sociology. The author addresses the issue of the need to construct a sociological theory of employment that will allow one to systematize the theoretical and methodological ideas about the role and significance of these social phenomena for the social reproduction. The basis of this process is labor activity; its characteristics determine the specific features of the life of each person as a member of society. Thus, the author focuses on the public nature of the origin and reproduction of both labor and employment analyzing existing approaches to understanding the labor relations. The public nature of employment is explained by the evolving historical development of society and economy. It changes its forms depending on the type of labor relations inherent in any type of economy.

International audience ; The article analyzes the results of an empirical study of the causes of destructive motivation of personnel in Russian commercial organizations. The study was conducted by questioning two hundred employees of commercial organizations in Moscow. The purpose of the research is to reveal the opinion of employees on the causes of destructive motivation of personnel and measures for their elimination. The empirical study revealed the influence of organizational factors on the existence of destructive personnel motivation in organizations, such as: labor organization; remuneration system, benefits and career management; control over the activities of employees; group communications and organizational culture. The study revealed the impact of personal characteristics of employees on destructive motivation. In the course of the survey, the degree of influence of various groups of reasons on the demotivation of employees in the studied commercial organizations was revealed, as well as on the micro-political motivation of employees. In the course of the questionnaire, assessments of the main forms of destructive behavior were obtained, which allowed for developing more detailed recommendations for limiting this negative phenomenon. The practical significance of the research is the results of an analysis of various factors of the internal environment of the organization and the personal characteristics of employees that are significant for the formation of destructive motivation of employees of Russian companies in a transitional economy.
