Şehir merkezlerinde yoğunlaşan insan nüfusu, beraberinde hayat standartlarında bazı değişiklikleri de getirmiştir. Dolayısı ile ülke ekonomilerine büyük katkısı olan tarımsal faaliyetlerden biri olan kabuklu meyve yetiştiriciliği bu alanda ilgileri üzerine çekmiştir.
