(...) A brief overview of the key points contained in the NEPAD framework, which paints a broad picture of the need for business-to-government relationships and of the need to create an internationally competitive environment for investment where returns are attractive, good governance is guaranteed, regulatory frameworks are simple and helpful, and risks are lowered. (...) In referring to the key principles of NEPAD and trying to draw parallels with the mining industry, we can see that the industry does have a key role to play in the success of NEPAD.
