The thesis deals with knowledge management processes and associated practices in interorganizational contexts. With an insight of intellectual craftsmanship, we focus on the case study of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (NST) that involves a wide diversity of participant organizations and knowledge fields. By studying three specific contexts –a Colombian network of research groups, a European collaborative project, and a laboratory of materials belonging to a micro and nanotechnology cluster of Grenoble (France); we present four main theoretical contributions through a knowing in practice approach: 1) A description of relationships between interorganizational knowledge management practices and policies that foster cross-institutional agreements, 2) An insight of proximity as a point of convergence and divergence in boundary-related knowledge management, 3) An understanding of temporality and anchor points related to cross-organizational relationships, and 4) The dynamics of mediation of the socio-technical collectives. On the other hand, we put forward an approach to the concept of practice as managerial space, which allows to account for differences in the temporary nature of relationships and assess effective mediation of available tools for supporting knowledge management processes. ; Esta tesis trata sobre procesos de gestión de conocimiento en ámbitos inter-organizacionales y las prácticas asociadas. AbstractWe explore the strategies implemented by Research Groups' Leaders while coping with unstable contexts, characterized by incoherence and lack of coordination among different policy discourses and instruments, and scarce resources. We focus on a country where these conditions are present: Colombia. In doing so, we study two cases, one in nanotechnology and another one in biomedical engineering. Interviews, focus groups and workshops allowed us to identify and validate strategies grouped in four popular sayings, proper to local idiosyncrasy, highlighting the role of home institutions and principal investigators in facing such situations with resilience and resourcefulness, and even taking advantage of them. We find that Research Groups' Leaders use strategies such as: adapting, balancing agendas and funding sources, networking, and taking advantage of the support programs available at their home institution to continue functioning. These are setting the ground for a further survey which could pretend some generalization. However, policymakers could consider these findings when defining policy instruments or for assessing their effectiveness or impacts.

El IV Simposio Internacional de Ingeniería Industrial "La Responsabilidad Social del Ingeniero Industrial" organizado por el Grupo de investigación Gestión de la Innovación Tecnológica y Productividad "GINTECPRO" de la Universidad El Bosque, tuvo lugar el pasado 10 y 11 de noviembre de 2015 en el auditorio principal de la Universidad. Su objetivo general fue compartir con la comunidad universitaria las experiencias de investigadores nacionales e internacionales concernientes con el quehacer de la Ingeniería Industrial, específicamente en relación con la responsabilidad social del ingeniero industrial. El evento contó con la participación como ponentes de invitados internacionales procedentes de universidades de Suiza, Venezuela y Brasil, de docentes investigadores de la facultad de ingeniería de la Universidad Militar Nueva Granada, del delegado de la Maestría en Gestión Empresarial Ambiental de la Universidad El Bosque y de los miembros del grupo de investigación GINTECPRO. Al evento asistieron cerca de 250 personas entre directivos, estudiantes, docentes, ponentes e invitados.
